November 11, 2018 - Some leather and spice and other things nice. It has a heart of liqueur cherry and a suggestion of tobacco and sage. It is full and rich with a gentle flex of sinewy tannin.

    March 5, 2016 - Auction purchase.
PnP, perfect cork and easy extraction. 50% bleed. Pretty floral nose. Cherry, mushroom, olive. Light, great food wine. Seemed to fade a bit in the re-corked bottle after a couple hours. I'm not responsible for the provenance on this one, but if it's representative, I'd drink up over the next three years or so.

June 2, 2015 - Bn/vts fill. Wow, wow, wow. Beautiful straight out of the bottle, this wine is pure terrior. Classic, pure Sangiovese character. Densely packed with flavour, yet light as a feather on the palate. I could simply drink this forever. Still plenty of grippy, yet extraordinarily well integrated, tannins on the finish. Well stored bottles of this wine should drink well for at least the next 10 years. A glorious example of exactly what a 25 year old Brunello should be.

April 27, 2012 - Brunello 1990 Horisontal Tasting (@ Canan): Nose: A little wood smoke, raspberry and a light cherry touch.
Sweet and still young dark cherry fruit and a wine that is really tasty. Still quite young and there is still a lot of life left.
However, it is very approachable and will most likely not improve..

January 6, 2011 - WCC 1990 Tuscan Reds (Dorato's Resturant, Guilderland, NY): Elegant, stunning. Fabulous and youthful. Sweet cherries. This and the Poggio Antico Riserva are the Brunellos of the night for me.
