Decanted for over an hour ... Undrinkable, acidic aftertaste ... too much alcohol ... bad bottle?

I really did not like this wine on the pop and pour. Nice nose but the palate was disjointed. I opened another bottle of my go to amarone and immediately enjoyed a much better wine. After a few hours, I went back and discovered a very different wine. This wine really needs to be decanted a bit to be appreciated. If you can wait you will get a balanced full palate and a more complex nose.

Took a few hours in the decanter to hit its stride. Throwing lots of sediment so I am wondering about aging potential. I think that I will consume another of my remaining 4 bottles in the next couple of months to see if the sediment is a sign of premature aging. Still, drinking very well now with a great palate and perfumed nose. One notch below my Conn Valley reserves.
