1/20/24, 5:31 AM - Hey Mark. Thanks for the note. All three bottles from last night were disappointing. It might have been the taster and not the wine!
12/25/23, 6:14 AM - It’s drinking really well right now but no hurry. Had with Coq au Riesling and the match was perfect. I have a few previous notes with more descriptors. Enjoy. It’s a winner.
1/9/24, 5:47 PM - Nice!
12/7/23, 1:59 PM - I find it is showing elements of both - which is very appealing. Would love to hear what you think.
10/13/23, 4:56 AM - I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
10/1/23, 5:43 PM - Appreciate the note and your expertise. I’m not a Madeira expect at all. This wine just seems to be missing complexity and is a touch cloying. That said, I am enjoying!
9/9/23, 3:59 AM - Thank you for the info. Interesting approach and delicious!
8/30/23, 7:51 AM - 90 minute decant. Needed it. Enjoy.
8/13/23, 4:05 PM - A decant is a very good thing.
8/14/23, 3:52 AM - An hour or two would be great. Enjoy!
8/6/23, 10:22 AM - Thanks! Have a case of the 16 resting already. Maybe time to try one. 😀
8/6/23, 11:41 AM - Excellent. Let me know your thoughts if you try one. Cheers!
7/15/23, 8:18 PM - Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, no. I wonder if it is the vintage. It really was a disaster. I have not tasted many vintages of this wine - this one really tasted artificial.
5/30/23, 6:18 PM - Thanks for the comment. I’ve had really good luck with them over the years. I just think this was ok not great.
3/20/23, 8:50 AM - Thanks for the tip!
2/26/23, 1:15 PM - Maybe hold for 3-5 years. Should be perfect then.
7/9/22, 8:29 AM - Unfortunately, no. I have not seen it in the market. Would love to try other versions. Will keep looking. You?
4/28/22, 10:42 AM - Fun! Don't know what's better - the chicken or the champagne!
3/4/22, 4:46 AM - Thanks. I would decant for a few hours. Have the first glass by itself. It’s that good. Then enjoy with a juicy piece of grilled beef.
3/5/22, 5:01 AM - I’m sure it will be better in 2026, but it’s great right now. If you can give it a 4 or 5 hour decant, go for it!
3/5/22, 5:54 AM - I’m fact, I think this will be wonderful for the next 30 years. It’s that balanced and that complex.
3/5/22, 5:03 AM - You might be right…we didn’t have that luxury. We did have it decanted for 1 hour before drinking.
2/25/22, 5:16 AM - Good purchase! A wonderful chateaux. Enjoy.
2/7/22, 5:55 AM - Cheers! I don’t have a lot of experience with Tuscan wine, but have a fondness for this bottling. If you have a chance to taste the 2004, I recommend it.
2/5/22, 9:55 AM - Sorry - just a typo.
9/2/21, 5:32 PM - Cool. I think this wine almost always over delivers. Classic. Enjoy the rest of your case!
7/10/21, 4:56 PM - I could not agree with you more. Unfortunately, the access is much more restricted than it used to be!
4/4/21, 5:37 AM - Thanks for note. I like both as well. I’m hoping some complexity and elegance will emerge in a few years. We will see!
2/24/21, 4:50 PM - Extremely helpful. Thanks so much for sharing. Wines from this producer are among my favorite in Italy.
1/19/21, 8:36 AM - Interesting. thanks for the info!
11/24/20, 3:45 PM - Thanks. I encourage you to drink whenever - it’s in a great spot right now. Enjoy!
7/16/20, 6:44 AM - I opened the bottle 5 hours in advance and decanted right before serving. Showed beautifully. Hope you enjoy.
6/5/20, 5:44 PM - Thanks for the comment. This seems to have an extra gear that I really like.
7/17/19, 10:34 AM - yes - and wine can connect us. Enjoy and let me know if your travels ever bring you to Baltimore.
7/3/19, 1:38 PM - Couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the comment. The good news is this wine does not break the bank so when it’s on, it over-delivers IMO.
11/29/17, 3:43 AM - you are very right - thanks for the comment.
11/16/17, 7:58 AM - In my experience, rarely does an over ripe wine improve. That said, this bottle was significantly less pleasurable than one drunk late summer.
4/24/17, 1:59 PM - Thanks so much for this feedback. I will save some to try in the future. Was really impressed. Best, Brooks
3/16/17, 3:05 PM - Hope you enjoy your bottle as much as we did.
11/28/16, 4:18 PM - Did not. Certainly had the stuffing to pair well with a number of things. Will try a food match next time.
11/10/16, 1:53 PM - agree - and the wine is terrific too!
8/23/16, 8:56 AM - I believe the disgorgement date was 2008.
6/3/16, 3:39 PM - It was very good indeed. Is your wine still imported to the US? I would like to find some more!
2/9/16, 10:36 AM - Opened 3 hours before and decanted 30 minutes before.
2/9/16, 6:23 PM - Enjoy!
12/29/15, 2:07 PM - Those are four special bottles you have. Enjoy!
8/14/15, 5:14 AM - No problem waiting and you will be happy to open upon you friend's return...for many reasons!
7/21/15, 7:26 AM - Thanks BuzzzzOff. Will make it a point to go back for lunch - agree the meal was incredible. As for Trevallon, I would love to have better access to the wine in the US. You are absolutely right that it is a little different - probably one reason I am enjoying it so much!
12/2/14, 5:23 PM - Hi Seth,High for sure - don't have bottle with me. What I like about the wines of BC, is that they ferment whole cluster with tends to balance the ripeness. When they are on, I enjoy them a lot.
11/10/14, 5:44 AM - off the list - not good value...nice dinner, though.
10/15/14, 8:10 AM - yes - really developed over the evening. I think it will improve.
6/20/14, 7:59 AM - Absolutely possible. I have had many other vintages (and love the wine), but this was my first taste of the 2005. Will try again to see if it was just a bad batch.
6/24/13, 1:59 PM - Agree - such a terrific value!
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
