Tasting Notes for Throughthegrapevine

Was a little worried as I have opened some other ‘14 Bourgogne Blancs that were a premox, but this was still singing. For 40 usd it was a great value, with lots of zestiness, and notes of yellow apple, lemon peel, underripe pineapple, jasmyn flowers, and touch of this wet stone. Prefered it over the ‘19 we opened as a side by side. Would drink it within the next year or two.

Bright darker ruby. Nose: cherries. Palate: forest berries. Saline, minerals. Very pure, with a touch of warmth.
Very enjoyable at age 4-5

The 2019 needs just a year or two more for perfect balance. I don’t foresee a long development, advise to drink on the younger side. Not too characteristic for a Pommard. That said it’s very well made, fresh nose, some sweetness and very enjoyable. Lacks complexity. 89-91

It was absolutely singing, with so much tension still there. Has a lot offer for a village level Saint Aubin, and luckily bought it when prices hadn’t exploded yet. Drink now or within the next 2 years
