Thanksgiving. Opened a couple hours before consuming. Surprisingly integrated at this early stage with splendid development of the secondary flavors already. Great balance to the wine and lovely length/texture on the palate. Really good at this early stage.

Wine is at a good place. Integrated and showing some finesse for cornas but still with that life /texture on the palate providing great lift and structure. Not massive in the mouth but with a solid presence. Fruit is an equal partner with secondary flavors on the palate. Fun mature cornas.

Good enough but still more ordinary and one (fruit) dimensional. Little precense on the palate or texture.

Still w life. Good structure and tannins remain and merry w enough fruit and secondary flavors to make this wine have personality and length.
Exceeded expectations

No expectations. This was really good. Great Pinot weight... light on its feet but great complexity on the palate. Weekday Pinot does not get better

Low expectations and anticipating new world, alcohol and fruit driven... could not have been more wrong. This wine had great size but balance and with extra ordinary texture on the palate. Definitely had fruit but balanced w really nice old world Syrah secondary flavors. At 15 years definitely life left but why wait... can imagine it gets better

No notes but on memory really solid. All pieces integrated and solid length and structure. Could have had a bit more texture on the palate and secondary flavors were good not outstanding. Nonetheless enjoyed.

Good but not as dynamic and other worldly as bottle had five years ago. This bottle while solid lacked the lift and complexity and length on the palate to be extraordinary. Color did not indicate age of the wine that was experienced. Solid but disappointing given pedigree of this vintage, producer and fruit source.

Dissappointing bottle as dominated by alcohol and over ripe fruit. Last bottle had 5 years ago had more balance, length, texture on the palate and flavor complexity. Bummer.

Moving into drinking window... secondary flavors, complexity on the palate starting to develop. I would have thought this might be farther along in development. Solid but not amazing acidity. Much better than sauzet combettes from same vintage had a few nights later. Enjoyable.

Had with new world styled but solid 01 Hourglass.

Cos really shined with solid length, mouthfeel and complexity on the palate. Also really illustrated the texture on the palate difference from the Hourglass... that elevated the Cos mouthfeel, length and overall presence of the wine. 96s seem to be finally finding their place.

This bottle was in a really good place. Complexity has really set in on the palate, solid acidity gives this bottle lift, structure and length. Super fun.

Had next to 06 Cos. Really made apparent the style differences while Hourglass is a really solid bottle of wine it is primarily a fruit driven wine. It had solid mouthfeel and legnth but lacked complexity in flavor profile and texture on the palate of the Cos. Good bottle but suffered on comparison if you lean old world.

Has gained balance over the past half dozen years. Still more simplistic and more one dimensional fruit driven wine but in better balance than on release.

Exceeded expectations. Prior bottles had been nice but simple with nothing more than ordinary length and little secondary flavors. This bottle has really evolved. Palate now has nice secondary flavors and mouthfeel and presence is much better.

On recall... fruit was more the star than previous vintages. Wine gained size and presence in the mouth w air. In the end really solid w it's best likely sill ahead.

In a really good spot w this bottle having lots of life left. Nicely integrated w fruit a secondary component blended w adequate secondary flavors. Where the bottle really shined was its really good length, structure, and remaining tannins providing great texture on the palate.
