Bottle was not flawed but very little fruit. Really didn't open up over two hours.

Surprised to see high scores on this one. Fake, candied quality to fruit, alcohol way out of balance with the wine. Clunky and not very pleasant and I don't see it improving. Not technically flawed, just unraveled.

My second time tasting this and am still flat out stunned by this wine. Seemed more northern Italy than WA state with loads of black licorice, and herbs. Lots of fruit still but without any of the overoaked over-rich sweet density that plagues the Washington "style". At a beautiful point in its development showing elegance and integration from some time in the bottle but with plenty of fruit, tannin and structure. A completely rediculous price on closeout at $11. Beautiful. I have heard this producer is inconstant.

Was surprised with this bottle given the raves. Very little character or individuality to be found through the overt medium heavy-toast oak. Some mocha notes and buttered popcorn mostly from the oak, though at times a bit of fruit shined through. This is precisely why Washington State bores me (and I live here).
