a bit worried. Clean, straight line, slight fruit (apples, pear, fresh fruit) but lost the unctuousness that I have associated with other bottles/vintages. Still, a most impressive languedoc.

10/12/18, 1:07 AM - My bad - it is Provence. I have even visited the domaine. And it is one of the smallest appelations in France (Palette)!

hmm. Ever so slight effervescence showing. Gone after 10 minutes but I would not keep for too much longer. Lovely otherwise.

I'm a little more positive than some reviewers. Its definitely "old style" with a slightly more astringent and "green" or stem note, but after 30 minutes a really powerful "black cherry" note comes in, and then disappears. Tannins faded nicely, great mouth feel, secondary aromatics and a long smooth and slightly cranberry finish. I really liked this. But its ready now.

4/9/14, 11:22 PM - I only had one bottle, so was unable to see how it evolves. But my best guess is that it is fine for 3-4 more years (with less and less air time each year), but not much beyond that. Overall, I have found 2000 bordeaux to be over-hyped and not ageing that well. But perhaps I am impatient.
