Nice example of New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Very fresh, with floral notes and relatively high acidity. I advise to drink it cold and preferrably in warm wheather. We drank it with white asparagus (👍), but also nice as apperitive.
PS: I noticed that Parker (Wine Advocate) gave it only 84 points (🤔); very strange score as I drank many examples with a 90+ score of lesser quality.

Well matured wine. I bought a box (en primeur) in 2012 and just opened the first bottle. Combination of mainly Merlot and a small percentage of Cab Franc. Good fruit / berry, and dry aftertaste.
We drank it with mixed grilled meat, which was great.

Beautiful VV Riesling. Slightly sweet; good match with white asparagus, but could also go along with certain deserts or cheeses.

Beauty of a red Burgundy wine. Perfectly ripe and full of fresh fruit, but also notes of herbs, so the terroir must be excellent... happy to have another 5 waiting in the cellar!

Truly nice CdeP; 13 years old but perfectly aged in our cellar. We drank it with a dry aged T-Bone steak and a smoked beet sallad, and this was a combination made in heaven. The wine had notes of dried fruit, but despite its 15% it was not heavy at all. Recommended, and luckily we have one or two more in our cellar...

Great wine and perfectly aged.
I was surprised by the previous comments that the wine was over the top. Maybe that was due to cellaring or transport; our wine was in great shape... and a Barbaresco should easily make 13 years! A great Nebbiolo is a feast. Hints of liquorice and laurel, and still freshness after all these years. No rush for the remaining bottles in our cellar...

This is a true beauty and has now revealed its potential! I drank a few bottles of this vintage before (in 2018 & 2019), but they were still a bit ‘closed’.
This natural wine offers the real taste without the so commonly used sulphites. Very honest, lots of thick fruit, liquorice, laurel and herbs. ‘Earthy’ kind of taste.

Really great Spätburgunder / Pinot Noir.
The wine has naturally light and fresh characteristics. This one is ‘lively’ and has great minerality. I am very happy that I bought a few more while visiting the interesting Ahr Gebiet laat year.

Great chardonnay. Very well balanced. It has a good level of wood, and still nice acidity.
It can be drunk as aperitive, as we did this time, bur also with a dish.

The bottle had a bit of a cork taste and a bit too dominant alcohol - this vintage has 15%. So it kight be good to cool it a little in advance anyway.
I think (hope) it was just this bottle that was a bit flawed... I will try another one soon.

Nice and full bodied CdeP. A bit strong in alcohol with 15%, but great with a strong meat dish. I preferred it over the same vintage of the VV of Chante Cigale.

Fabulous Madiran wine. After 15 years still a great and balanced red wine with the interesting tannat grape. Ripe cherries and earthy hints.

Great wine of nice RhĂ´ne year. Now 12 years old, but enough tannins to cellar it for many more years. Well balanced wine with ripe fruit, and notes of laurel and liquorice, although not too dominant. Also the characteristic taste of older, matured, wines - a kind of leather.

First bottle out of a case of 12 and indeed worth the try. A bit stale in the aftertaste at the beginning, but it should be allowed to breath, although I decided not to decant this wine. In stead I opened the bottle a few hours in advance.
The wine is very round and soft, despite its 14% in alcohol. Clear notes of tobacco, ripe black fruit and leather. We combined it with a ‘saignante’ Black Angus flat iron stake from the Kamado. Delicious combination.

Although not too young anymore, still a pleasant and ‘mature’ Bordeaux white whine. Balanced acidity and nice pallet of ripe fruit. At the start some bitter notes in the aftertaste, but that disappeared later on. I am happy that this 12 year old white wine is still fine, but I will not take too long to drink the remaining 4 bottles in the case...

Nice and honest glass of GewĂźrztraminer. Indicted as sweet wine with a rate of 7 out of 9 (from dry to sweet), I found it a bit less sweet than expected. We drank it with a Frech apple pie which combines well.

An impressive wine and now the perfect time to open after 10 years of cellering. Despite its 14.5% alcohol a very soft and elegant Syrah. The fruity / cherry character of this grape combines with the typical ‘leather’ kind of taste of older wines. We drank it with a ‘sous vide’ prepared black angus Ribeye from the kamado, which makes a perfect marriage. Outstanding.

Excellent glass of Viognier. 2017 is good drinkable, and viognier should not be kept too long anyway.
We drank it with a minestrone soup and goat cheese afterwards. Good combination.
The wine has the typical floral bouquette with enough acidity and freshness. A good alternative for a (more refined) Condrieu.

A very ‘round’, well balanced, bourgogne. First bottle of 2015 we’ve tried and it is perfect to drink now. Good level of fruit combined with smooth herb tones and freshness. We drank it as an apperative with some cheese and later on with lamb cotelettes, which is an excellent combination.
We started at room temperature (20-21 C), but after cooling down, it tasted even better.

Tasteful Pinot Blanc. Good depth and acidity, but in my taste a bit too alcoholic. It counts 14% alcohol, so I advise to drink it a bit colder than average.

First of 6 bottles I purchased a number of years ago. Perfectly ready for drink now. Although it is a riserva with 14% alcohol, it is very accessible and even a bit more fruity than we expected. We just drank it in warm weather with a pizza from our stone oven, which is a nice match. I think it would also combine well with red meat dishes which are not too strong or smokey.

Beautiful wine. Now perfect to drink. With 15% a heavyweight - almost like Chateauneuf du Pape - but very round and pleasant. Hints of plum and tobacco. A very natural taste.
I liked this one at least as much as the 2010, despite the lower Parker rating (92 vs 94 WA points)

A bit of a bizar wine. Very characteristic with sweet hints of dark berries, laurel and eucalyptus. Very ‘round’, almost lemonade like. A bit high in alcohol, so don’t serve too warm. Best around 18 Celcius.

Southern RhĂ´ne kind of blend, dominated by Syrah and Carignan, as well as Cinsaut and Grenache, but also nice that the typical SA grape Pinotage is part of this unique blend (although not dominant).
Very characterful wine, aroma of wild herbs and berries. Still a bit strong in its tanines, so I think waiting will further improve the wine.
We drank it with a Kamado grilled dry aged Black Angus sirloin...not too bad

Aged but still delicious Condrieu.
Flowers and apricot. Nice minerals. We just drank it with a vegitarian dish including aubergine, courgette and some delicate middle eastern spices, and it combined excellent! Ogier produces some gems...

Very fresh sauvignon blanc as one can expect from a Marlborough SB. Despite Parker’s 94 points, I think that both acidity and alcohol (14%) are a bit too high; maybe some air might help to develop...

Strong wine with complex southern RhĂ´ne bouquet due to blend of 5 different grapes. Outspoken terroir. Laurel and herbs, a bit of dark chocolate. Maybe a bit too high alcohol %. I would serve it with strong meat or game.

Mature CdeP. This is the time to drink it. Ruby color, laurel, cherry taste. Well developed, and important to give it time to breath. I opened it in the early afternoon to develop, but decanting would be even better. Give it air, and enjoy

Forceful white wine with high alcohol percentage and relatively high acidity. Interesting glas which paired well with the light meat dish (veal), prepared in butter.

This was the 3rd bottle I opened from 6 in the cellar throughout the years, and this was definitely better than the previous ones. It matured well, and is very complex, sweet, but not too sweet. Dark yellow, tones of orange. Hints of apricot.
We had it with apple pie and vanilla ice. Not a bad choice...

Very nice, soft and mature wine. Truly honest glass of wine. Tannat grape is known as a difficult grape, but this Montus is very well balanced, and it can easily mature for 15 years as this one. A bit Cabernet like. We enjoyed it with a cĂ´te de boeuf, and I can warmly recommend this wine with red meat, and I also think it will match with game.
We decided to open the (magnum) bottle in the morning, but with hindsight I think that decanting would also have been an option.

Fresh and light wine with high acidity. Tones of lime. We served it with grilled octopus, which matches very good. Also a fine wine as apperitive at a hot day. Be careful not to serve it with a dish that requires a full-bodied, more ‘fat’ style wine.

Purchased this bottle many years ago in Barbaresco - at the domain is the only place to purchase it. Although this wine is not a DOP Barbaresco, it is a high quality Nebbiolo. After 12 years it was still very attractive in the nose and glass with a nice red-brown collor. Very earthy and ‘leather’ taste, but at the same time very smooth and subtle. Not too much tannines, but I think it will stay good for several more years.

Discovered almost a case of this wine in my cellar, which - according to WA / Parker - should have been drunk between 2014 and 2016.
Good to discover that it was still in excellent shape! Maybe some tiny signs of oxidation, but overall very nice. Interesting blend of Chardonnay and Viognier. Tones of wood and ripe fruit, but also some minerality. Happy that I have another four waiting down there...
