I really wanted to like this wine, and I wasn't disappointed! This is the first Vin de Pays de l'Hérault I've ever had and I really liked it. It had a very smooth mouthfeel and the tannins were in perfect balance. I poured the wine immediately which was a mistake - give it an hour of air before drinking. This bottle cost me just under $100 USD which is a bit expensive all things considered. But it was exciting to try a wine from a region that doesn't get much attention in the US. I will buy more of this wine.

Early Days. Best I have had at this point. Likely ends up legendary.

Unlike the last public taster in July our bottle is open for business and all about chocolate and cassis and luxury. What a triumph this will be in a few years. As good a red as I have had in 6 months, but probably best, though to wait a couple of years for the next one.

Maybe a bad bottle, so no score. Totally a shocker compared to my last bottle in December of 2012. Kind of disjointed and harsh.

I can't figure out what this is. Its not the Napa bottling. Its not the Larkmead bottling. I really have no clue. Diamond Mountain it says. Anyway, I paid 30 bucks for it and its AWESOME. Lovely blue fruit, luxurious mouthfeel, but enough tannin and acid to keep it from getting syrupy. Best value of the year. By a lot.

11/1/13, 3:39 AM - Thanks David for clearing that up. Oddly, there are more notes on the fictitious 2007 Diamond Mountain than there are on the 2007 Napa!
