Leiden at Librije zusje: From magnum. Fresh nose, citric, almond, anise. Taste intense, elegant, citrus, grapefruit. After opening still young and primary, appears much younger. Drinks extremely well, I keep returning to the glass and refilling it. Develops during the evening, improving further and showing more secondary tones.

Although it is young, it is delicious. Beware: this was a magnum, it is possible that normal bottles are further in development.

8/31/15, 4:52 AM - Difficult question! D'Yquem is always a treat, but usually keeps getting better, so what is the best time? I think there is still room for improvement in this 2002, so waiting for some years might be wise.
