decanted for an hour; dark, near impenetrable violet; classic Pauillac, nicely resolved but still substantial, sweet tannins; powerful plum, cassis & red fruits, graphite; long finish; an iron fist in a velvet glove; many decades of life ahead.

(old wine club). Ever so hint of chartreuse colour. Initially showing lemon nose & flavour; as it opened up heading to lime. Medium sweet with sufficient acidic underpinning preventing any cloyingness. Still quite youthful displaying mostly primary flavours. Will last forever

Dark colour, with little bricking. Surprisingly youthful. Lot's of primary dark & blue fruit, tobacco, plush well-integrated tannins, long finish. Definitely not flabby. It won't improve but still has plenty of life left.
