Dark, impenetrable garnet. Very young nose, dark fruit and winery smells, a bit of floral as well. Dry dark fruit and lactic flavours. Needs 5 years. Lots of potential.

This was the Brut Reserve. At least that is what the label said. Disgorgement date 2020. The cork however said 2008 and was totally compressed. Very mysterious. Nothing in the glass would deter me from thinking this could have been an 08.

Clear light gold, lots of autolysis, lemon lime and mineral. Delicious apple and lemon flavours and a long dry finish.

Bright light orange. Bright nose, citrus, apricot, melon and spice. Dry textured stone fruit flavours with some tannins in the finish. A lot of fun to drink.

92 with room for improvement. Unique.

Fairly dark. Bright red fruit, berry and red cherry wit a bit of earthiness. Great berry and spice flavours and a fantastic dry fuzzy finish. The tannins are great. This wine needs time.

Like a great young Pegau or Donjon.

Thanks to NEECIES I had this for the second time in 2 weeks. It took a bit of time to open up and when it did it was fabulous. I scored it a point lower because the previous bottle allowed me more time to focus on its charms.

Medium light gold. Nose of apple, pear and pineapple. A tiny bit of oxidation, one would expect. Dry textured mouthfeel, baked apple and pineapple. The finish is smooth but dry.

I think this showed very well. It rewarded the effort to hold a few more years.

This was very nice to drink with an early Mother’s Day lunch. Quite traditional with just the right level of sweetness. Not rich by any means but not bracing like typical Zero Dosage wines.

Lots of lemon, mineral and autolysis.

Medium red. Great earthy black cherry and thyme nose. Delicious textured cherry, berry, dried mushroom and currant flavours. The finish is long and balanced with a bit of thyme.

I don’t remember ever having a BdM so good at this age. My experience with young Brunello has never been this much fun.

I just love this. Bright red berry, and cherry dominate the nose, with a nice bit of earthiness in the background. Delicious red fruit dominate the flavours and the finish is all about the acid.

I have a few of these and a magnum. I would like to let them rest.

Clear light gold. Lovely unmistakably Chardonnay nose, a bit of reduction, lemon, pear and wet rock. Delicious dry lemon, orchard fruit and mineral flavours, a touch of ripeness on the dry stony finish.

Delicious, and more like the 19, than the 20.

Medium light red. Lots of fresh floral red cherry fruit. The nose is very open and beautiful. The flavours are delicious with lots of fresh cherry and berry fruit and the finish is slightly minty and balanced.

Decanted an hour or more. Great fruit forward Chianti Classico. I have 4 more. It will be tough to resist. It seemed to have a lot of Radda character. Not what I expected from this producer.

I love this. Great QPR. The only downside is the bottle. It ways just over 32 oz empty.

I loved this in a way that I love the occasional bottle of Cayuse I have had.

The nose was still not giving much after 3 hours. The palate though was creamy black cherry, dried mushrooms, spices and rock. The finish was not too tannic.

Still developing but the nose needs to put on a bit of weight.

Clear medium red. At first the nose was a little disjointed but a half hour in the decanter fixed that. Pure Sangiovese fruit, red cherry, berry and tobacco. Dry pure cherry fruit flavours, not at all hot. The finish is long and delicious.

Lots of room for improvement one of the finest Chianti Classicos.

Light red. Not a great nose, a bit muted. Sour cherry, red berry and spice but not very bright. Great spicy red cherry, leather and spice flavours and a beautiful finish. Very fine grained tannins leaving a nice smooth feeling.

I hope the nose improves. I did buy it at the Westwood BCLDB store. A place where good wines go to die. Really tragic conditions.
