This was not a good bottle of wine. I have had two other bottles over the last year plus that were spectacular. It could not have gone downhill this fast on its own. I attribute the experience to the cork. It broke in half, and the lower half was saturated. I did have 2024 down as the last year of my drink window. One bottle left.....so will be able to test my theory. I have had this kind of cork problem an numerous occasions with good California reds, but have rarely had this kind of cork problem with Red Bordeaux wines.

5/21/24, 5:30 AM - I experienced the same. Still have 12 bottles. Tasted 4 of which 2 where fabulous and 2 were bad. Quite unpredictable.
