Made from old vines Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.
still good after 6 years.
after vinification the wine is aged in large oak barrels called foudres for 18 months.
Warm and robust drank with a ribeye steake excellent combination.

fruit flavors, lime, lemon, pear, white nectarine and apple, ginger and a bit of faint honeyed notes, floral aromas like honeysuckle, and a saline-like minerality.

Ripe, voluptuous, yet beautifully pure red Dark Red colour, full of firm silky tannins.
Ripe, herbal black fruit, smoky spice medium to full-bodied richness and a great finish with high alcohol content but it's not offensive.

Good example of a Val de Loire with one of my must go to place for wine and that is Saumur. Fresh Red fruits with the grape been Cabernet Franc.
Serving suggestion are 16C but my bottle was more like 20C. Summer is coming so must be brave and try it chilled.

Poor quality large bubbles the wine went flat very quicky. not worth £14.00 I would not buy this again Sainsbury's have much better Cremant de Bourgogne for sale at a lower price of £12.00.

Clear, light yellow colour and a fresh nose characterised by flinty, mineral notes. The palate is smooth, round and very distinctive lightly Oaked Chardonnay having woody notes with a delicate touch of acidity which is well balanced that lingers on the palate giving long fresh finish.
Seconded bottle now and happy to buy more. Great Birthday aperitif drink.
