Dry fresh claret. A good rich colour just starting to develop some brick hints around the rim. Nose is liquorice and leather. Lacks a little sophistication on the palate. A solid drinker in middle age.

Mellowed over the last few years and lost the rich dense chewy tannins to be replaced with a more balanced approachable very Spanish wine. Delicious and complex and still getting better.

Still tight but concentrated and with a distinct profile. Sense it will develop positively and has enough about it to make it really enjoyable now.

Sous bois nose with an intriguing funk wound right through it. The palate is developed and has a nice sense of age to it with smooth tannins. Really good and a long sour fruit finish.

I like this. Some sour fruit making this a cut above some generic Pinot. Not a complex deep wine but certainly very moarish.

Med island red with nice rhone overtones. A bit of garrigue, feels like a mid range Rasteau or Gigondas

I like this a lot. Flowery citrus nose with lots going on but it's restrained and very collected on the palate (I hate "busy" white wine) good acidity and length means this is a great bottle to open on its own on a sunny afternoon. It feels like it would stand up well with light seafood etc too.

Lovely cool salinity and minerality that is right up my street. Acidic with out being overly so and a lick of fruit just to balance it all out. Very summery.

Mature more expressive on the palate than the nose. Sour fruit with some leather. Still dark in the glass but maybe not as dense as it used to be.

Can't believe I managed to hang on to this for so long. 7 yrs after the fist bottle this is maturing well. The minty eucalyptus notes remain startlingly intact as does the black current. Still delicious and growing old gracefully.

Delicious Sangiovese. Fresh minerally Youthful and boisterous. Tannins don't overpower it and the length is astounding. Drinking well now but will continue to develop from here.

I love this wines austere tone. It is lean and mean with a mineral streak that supports the delightfully sour fruit. The finish is long and the wine is drinking well.

Well balanced claret with a long finish and all the characteristics you crave from a good bottle of Bordeaux. If i was to be critical not incredibly complex and potentially a little thin and tart on the palate. Solid drop.

Still extraordinarily youthful. But tannins starting to resolve as it enters the front of its drinking window. Deep and rich it's a really striking crowd pleaser. Still worth waiting on the rest of the case. One a year from here on in.
