1/25/24, 6:43 AM - Neecies' comment makes me think I must have had an off bottle. Olive tapenade is one of my favorite characteristics of a properly aged northern Rhone syrah, and I didn't get any of it. I may pop another bottle soon and will keep everyone updated if I do!
4/1/24, 5:03 AM - Check out my latest note - the last one was a bad bottle!
12/5/23, 10:14 AM - Agreed! This really blew me away.
11/1/23, 11:31 AM - Respectfully responding to the comment about vintage, great producers should make great wine in poor vintages. If they don't, they shouldn't sell it, or they shouldn't label it as grand vin (you can find a myriad examples of this practice all over the wine world). Mouton produced this wine as a grand vin and charged accordingly.
8/14/23, 6:44 AM - Was this a review for the blanc? Seems like a description of red wine.
6/12/22, 10:08 AM - Was this a review of the 2020 or the 2017? Thanks
5/13/22, 4:03 AM - Yes-decanted, though I always pour a bit in the glass first and it was already rocking!
12/26/21, 5:13 PM - My sentiments exactly!
1/26/21, 10:05 AM - I purchased a few vintages of this (86, 92, and 99) all bottled last year, and I must say that the 92 really hit the sweet spot for me. I agree on the almonds and also orange peel and vanilla with an overall deep complexity that made me put down my book and pontificate over the glass. Fabulous.
5/1/20, 3:44 PM - I got mine from garagiste and it’s in really good shape. Must be a lot of bottle variation. It’s definitely a library wine from the winery because the label is brand new. I guess 23yo white wine is a craps shoot
9/4/18, 3:45 PM - Agreed - had a bottle last night and it’s starting to show some interesting (and very nice) secondary notes but retaining freshness and bright fruit. Wish it wasn’t my last one!
3/28/18, 7:12 PM - I’m in total agreement. Disappointing.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
