1/16/19, 9:36 AM - Thanks so much, random man. Your opinion is noted.
11/7/16, 8:02 AM - Yay I'm glad you agree. Cheers! :)
6/14/16, 7:24 AM - Oh!! How was the Sea Spray?? I'm jelly!!
4/30/16, 9:27 PM - Hahahh!!! You're totally right! I had a lot more to say about it in my notes but the bartender was overly chatty so I kept it brief. Oh well. But I agree! It's great now, but will be even better in a few years!
5/2/16, 7:22 AM - Ugh, right? Sometimes I just want to be left alone to contemplate my booze!
5/3/16, 12:50 AM - I need a moment!!!! ;D
4/27/16, 1:51 PM - Aww, thanks!!
3/11/16, 7:51 PM - That's what makes them so much fun though!
2/16/16, 7:35 PM - Ha ha, exactly what it sounds like.
1/29/16, 8:07 AM - Bwaaahahahahhh!!! Your comment literally made me snort. LIKE A LADY.(Uhmm, and yeah....you're exactly right)
12/14/15, 12:14 PM - Oh gosh, definitely hop back on! They've been cranking out some really nice stuff lately!
12/15/15, 8:54 AM - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHH!!!!!
11/9/15, 12:34 AM - Omg, you are SUPER smart buying a case! That's a fabulous idea actually. Yes, definitely stash it all aside for at least 5 years....but then start cracking it and seeing how it changes. And then tell me!! Although I may just copy you and buy a case myself....
10/28/15, 2:35 PM - Ha ha yay! Yes, there is hope -- you must've just gotten a dud bottle. Happens sometimes! Lolol thanks for the compliment!! Kennedy is our last name, and my husband and I do tend to live up to it, so why not? ;DCheers!!!
9/16/15, 8:13 PM - Bwaahahahh! Well, I was considering the other options that were immediately available to me at the time, and the expectations I had of it before I drank it. I expected battery acid and instead, got something that didn't give me an ulcer or dysentery. So hey, it's all relative!
9/17/15, 8:54 PM - HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHH!!!!
8/17/15, 8:31 AM - Ha ha! I was having trouble with my adjectives that day, but "quiet" really does seem appropriate. It wasn't big and loud and bold....it was quiet and unobtrusive. I have a feeling it's holding back at the moment though, and will release much more activity with a few more years in the bottle :)
8/18/15, 7:29 AM - Perfect!! I'm coming over, ha ha!
8/17/15, 8:28 AM - Interesting perspectives, guys! Thanks for the input. I'm still a little conflicted and trying to reserve blanket judgment over the '09s. The critics have been crowing about '05 and '09 being "legendary" vintages, and my husband and I scrambled to snag up some '09 Leoville-Poyferre when we saw the 100-point raves about it. But we haven't really explored many of the higher-end '09s yet...mostly because I feel like I need to wait, and that they're still probably too young to make an impression one way or the other. But maybe I'm wrong? The La Lagune here wasn't a top-dollar Bordeaux (I think they were selling it for around $40 at the tasting). But I definitely agree with the sentiment that the Bordeaux guys need to quit trying to emulate California!! Ugh! That is why I drink Bordeaux....because I'm sick of the in-your-face California style of winemaking.
8/18/15, 7:28 AM - Hahahaha! I love you guys. Okay, let's just set some of this shit aside and have a tasting party in 2020....
8/12/15, 10:16 PM - Yay!!!! Cheers! :3
8/12/15, 10:15 PM - Good points! We probably did jump on this one a little too quickly. And yeah, 2011 wasn't the best anyway. Oh well! I'm still a fan of BV's higher-end Cabs - this won't turn me away!
7/18/15, 5:15 PM - HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Oui!!
7/4/15, 2:23 AM - Uhh okay, thanks internet police?
7/4/15, 4:51 PM - Ahh alright. Your comment just came across as abrupt and douchey. The guy pouring at the wine bar called it a "white Bordeaux" so I just parroted him in my notes at the time. "Languedoc" should've been my first clue but hey....I'd been drinking. So...
2/26/15, 1:14 PM - Sounds awesome! I may have to find some!
2/9/15, 7:32 AM - Bwaahahahaahh!!! I kinda had no choice....we were at a B&B in Napa this weekend and before heading out to dinner, the innkeepers invited us down to the den for a little wine & cheese get-together. This was in the lineup. Gah! I figured okay, how can it be THAT bad? An innkeeper in Napa is pouring it so maybe they know something I don't? NOPE. No, it was terrible. Good thing we headed out afterward and I got to wash the taste out of my mouth with a '97 Chateau d'Yquem! ;D
1/19/15, 1:29 PM - Ha ha!! I remember playing with millipedes when I was little (I called them "wire worms" instead) and they have a very distinct smell when you bother them. The nose of this particular wine actually reminded me of that scent! Just faintly. A little trip down memory lane! I suppose it's gross to suggest that a wine smells of bugs, but hey, I just call it like it pops into my head :)
1/19/15, 2:15 PM - Lololol!! They don't really shoot a stink out so much as they just kind of emanate a very distinctive smell. But in the case of this wine, it wasn't a bad thing! It kind of fit the bouquet really well! ;D
1/20/15, 8:31 AM - Awesome!! You can count on it! We usually find ourselves in Boston at least once a year so I will definitely keep that in mind. Cheers!
11/30/14, 11:37 AM - Agreed!!
9/21/14, 10:41 PM - Absolutely agree!! This stuff never disappoints. Cheers to you too! :)
