Semi-sweet field blend with some spice, viscosity, tropical fruits. Somewhat resembles a Rhone white blend.

Terrific wine! Pure and direct. This is forceful yet elegant. Dark fruit, a touch of exotic red fruit. Earthy spices. Explodes in the mouth and a very long finish. Still young.

Absolutely outstanding. Juicy red and dark fruit. 18 years on, this was a terrific $40 investment. Probably drank the others from the 6 pack too young. This is not close to "mature" but is sitting in a very nice spot. Drink up!

Very mineral and forward. Eighteen years on, this does not seem like it has aged at all. Linear and focused, but lacking depth and concentration. Nice finish.

Just fantastic again. Dense rich tropical fruits, honey, botrytis. But the acidity just balances it all out. Not heavy or too much. Very nice finish.

Sweet but not cloying. Could use a touch more acid. Orange and spice. Nice aging arc but I would have perhaps expected a but more from a 1983. Still, at 40+ years, it is fun to drink and very enjoyable.

Very solid. Worth the price? Who knows. Doesn't really matter. This is great everyday sparkler and as the professional notes point out, it is perpetual so the base will only age and get better. Bright fruits and acide. A lot of citrus.

Good and better with some air. Mocha. Spice. A touch green. Perhaps not the depth and concentration of the best Ovid vintages but this stands up well.

Terrific! Last of the 6 pack. Sorry to these guy but this shows what a well made Beaujolais can become. Still fresh and vibrant. Wonderful nose. A blend of flower and fruit. Dark fruit salad. Well balanced.

Legit. Earthy herbal mineral with cherry. $45 on release! Terrific value especially considering where the Rhys pricing arc has gone. A lot of life left.

Last bottle of the 3. Now at 20 years. Smooothed out. This is what a solid valued 20 year old Cali Cab should be. Easy drinking with a lot of complexity, but not showing any signs of old age.

Sour and tart. Stewy. In your face. Relentless without much nuance. Did not get better with air. We wound up dumping the bottle.

We tossed the bottle. It is oxidized with a really displeasing nose. Very difficult to get by the nose and taste anything. We have two bottles. I'll try to wait a while before popping the other to hopefully forget this experience and give the next bottle a fresh look. Nothing to like here.

What an outstanding bottle of wine. Elegant. Lush, but not too much so. Terrific acidity. Nothing ever feels out of place. Nice ripe fruit. Just so easy to drink but there is so much going on. Crushed minerals, spice, fruit all blend harmoniously. This probably has years to go but it is so nice right now. There is no need to wait.

Very floral enjoyable nose. Palate simple and already a good amount of bricking. Like others, I'm not sure where this goes from here. It may just sit in this same spot for a decent number of years. But the drinking window is open.

Consumed over a few nights. This is definitely a good wine. Not great. But good. What struck me was that it felt tired. Bricking around the edges. Secondary. A lot of earthiness. Sous bois is quite prominent. Some red fruit. On the feminine side of the ledger. Surprised with the age curve on this. Will check on a few more bottles sooner than later.

There is so much to like here, almost 15 years in. It is still young and fresh. The nose is a fruit bowl with mocha. Darker fruit, but a tough of raspberry perhaps. Menthol. Smooth and easy to drink. The finish lingers. This is in a terrific spot and it is not going anywhere for quite a long time.

This is sitting in a very nice spot right now. It has settled in nicely. Big tantalizing nose chock full of fruit and mocha. Darker blue and black fruit with integrated tannins. Charred wood. As a general rule, the Seven Stones wines have underperformed in my view from a value standpoint. The 06 still drinks as one of the better of the vintages from the 2000s.

Quite a bit but balanced wine. The acidity and tannin provide nice structure. Prominent red raspberry, ripe blackberry, espresso and hint of green woodsy note. This is drinking quite well. No decant. While initially a bit all over the place upon popping the cork, it settled down quickly. This should hold up well for another 10 years.

Hard to describe this one. Deep golden apple juice color. And this reminds me a lot of green apple juice. The acidity hits you but this sometimes also strikes me as overly sweet apple juice. Not enough complexity for my tastes. Not cloyingly sweet, as the acidity is there to provide some balance. But all in all, this is too simple without enough acidity.

Looks like we were are getting to the end of the case. What a great wine. 98 is not a heralded vintage but this has held up beautifully. Incredibly fresh and vibrant, still, 22 years in. This easily has another 10-15+ years. It is showing no signs of falling off. Nice fresh apple, spice, other orchard fruits. Great acidity. Nice viscosity.

Needs time. This was extremely reticent when opened. It needed a good amount of swirling and air to really come alive. Over the course of 30 minutes or so in the glass, it opened up beautifully. We had this without food and it probably could use a nice food to balance it out. Big and burly. Darker fruit, oak, dark spice. This is real bruiser but it is in balance.

Absolutely stellar wine. It is perfectly balanced. Lip smacking and juicy. Not overpowering. No heat. Everything it in its right place. That said, it was tight and reticent upon initial opening. I'd give this a long decant if you are drinking it all at once. We consumed over two nights and it showed much better on the second night. Terrific Syrah-esque notes. Mineral, game, herbal zing with darker fruit. Finish is solid. What else can you say?
