Had with Had and cheese/crackers. Should have decanted longer but silky to begin and stayed that way after opening. Tannins more noticeable after dinner but frankly nothing really stood out about this Sonoma cab.

Big act to follow the lynch bages but this performed well. Big and complex yet far from overbearing. Long finish and paired with everything at the table!

Drank with great friends and family following the '97 DC Gravelly Meadow. Wow what a special wine which changed its colors and nose as frequently as the waiters came to the table! This wine continued to get better and better!

Still very young but beautiful nose developing. Looking forward to drinking more over the next few years.

Was disappointed in this bottles after years of being a fan. Very fruity chewy fig and prune flavors. Could have something to do with following 2003 Ducru?

Fun bordeaux following '08 Gravelly Meadow. Classic musty dry wine with soft colors of pink. Smooth on the finish and not overpowering on the nose.

Dark pink colors with light earth and cedar. Hints of everything you might enjoy in a Bordeaux. First tasting was two years ago at Tru in Chicago. I'll buy more if I can find the right price point.

Smooth and drinking with anything. Not very bold and really reminds you of a lighter pinot.

First amarone. Young and needs to be cellared but very delicous. Fruit forward with a hint of dirt.

A little more fruit forward than I prefer. As denoted below, quite juicy with lots of raspberry and plum. The wine has potential if left in the cellar a few more years.

Nice dark bordeaux that I didn't know anything about. Complex but smooth tannins with a little leather and cherry. Enjoyable from the bottle as well as the decantor. Could actually probably sit a couple of more years. Drink 2006-2016

Currently experimenting with the Burgundies and this was a decent tasting. A hint of earth in the nose and sour to the tongue. Not a dry or heavy finish. I'd like to taste this same wine in a couple of years.

Analogy was stinky cheese. However, flavors of a classic bordeaux blend. Earthy with cherry flavored manure. Very enjoyable.

This was all about the experience at Sierra Mar in Big Sur. Paired with Waygu, the nose was a typical sweaty and earthy pomerol but I'm afraid we consumed on the decline. Regardless, how often do you have an opportunity like that?

Was a little disappointed that this wine was served a bit warm at Silverfox. I'm a bit biased for DCGM so 91 pts is fair. This wine is still fairly young and should be stored at proper temperatures and decanted prior to enjoyment.

One of my all-time favorites next to the Madonna '01. Hints of earth and cherry while still having a powerful nose and smooth palate 11 years later. I will find more and buy what I can. Drink now!

thought this might have held it's structure for more years than it did. Silver Oak is always consistent, but evidently the name doesn't age as well as it's reputation. Smooth but the nose disappeared within minutes. Drinkable but beyond it's peak.

This was actually delicious upon decanting, as it held more of a soft, earthy nose, resembling characteristics of some great bordeaux. For the price, I was impressed, more so than the BV private reserve I had just consumed for more.

I have high expectations from Gravelly Meadow as older vintages are my favorite. This is young and jammy, but has the hint of an older vintage. I expect this to only get better!
