1/22/22, 11:01 AM - Is your rating of “81” correct or a typo?
11/20/21, 9:22 AM - I found that this benefits even more from a really long decant, like 12 hours plus! Sharing this just in case it might be useful. This being said, I just opened my first bottle yesterday, and hence this has been aged for an additional 3 years (properly, in temperature & humidity controlled cellar) since your very helpful note. Cheers!
12/9/20, 7:56 PM - I think that the harshness that you experienced may have something to do with not decanting, for like a day! This wine needs decanting, badly. I have tested this with 3 bottles so far and this experience has been consistent. The wine got significantly better after a day in the decanter, and even improved further by day 3. It is a bit of a slow ox, but waiting it out is very rewarding. Cheers.
9/28/20, 7:23 AM - Your score of 83 does not match your comments. Too low a score for what is effectively a positive review.
9/28/20, 8:07 AM - I understand your rating, but it does affect what people see and how they perceive it.
7/15/20, 4:26 PM - You must have had a bad bottle. 3 of mine were all perfect but they came directly from the Chateau.
5/23/20, 10:53 AM - To Wine G's comment, I think that the Anthill Farms Pinots represent a much better value for the money. Also, Wayfarer's Pinots are another favorite of mine. All these are more rustic than Oregon Pinot Noir, of course, but somehow that is just reflective of my preferences.
5/8/20, 5:42 PM - Totally agree with your assessment.
4/8/20, 5:59 PM - Looks like you indeed had a bottle with a defective cork. Just opened a bottle this evening (purchased directly from the winery) and this wine is really very nice. Sorry that you had a bad experience with this.
3/28/20, 6:41 PM - Not my experience at all. Maybe you had a bottle that was not properly stored?
12/22/19, 8:40 AM - I could not agree more!
6/5/19, 7:45 PM - I could not agree more!
7/13/18, 1:46 PM - Spot on assessment.
7/13/18, 1:43 PM - 80 points? Your comments really do not reflect the score...
5/12/17, 8:43 PM - I could not agree more!
4/30/17, 3:44 PM - I just shared a bottle from my cellar yesterday evening, with friends. There was indeed a bit of sediment, but beyond that this wine was perfect. Sounds like you had a bad bottle...
4/17/17, 7:57 PM - That was certainly not my experience. Although it is not spectacular, I would give it at least 88 points. Very nicely drinking right now.
1/24/17, 7:38 PM - I concur with your assessment. Read it after I entered my notes, and there are some similarities, though I did not pick up on the minerality that you describe. As I note, I think that the QPR is great, and I consider this wine a kind of a find.
12/25/16, 8:22 PM - I concur with your assessment! Well said!
11/25/16, 6:38 PM - Not my experience at all! Maybe you had a circled bottle?
11/25/16, 6:37 PM - I agree with your assessment - I also enjoyed this wine very much. Enjoyed with guest over a pasta and fish dinner. We found very balanced, well integrated tannins, not overt, with lingering finish of cherry and cassis.
7/31/16, 8:44 PM - Sounds like you had a bottle that had gone bad. Not at all what I have experience with this wine.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
