Deep ruby color with excellent spice aromas. First glass 15 min after open. Balanced and lovely with a long finish. Clearly Grand Cru quality but needed to open up in the glass - Zalto Burgundy. Long finish and continued to improve in the glass until it was gone much too soon. Quite the treat with our salmon dish.

“A legend in the making” was the comment on this wine. It’s a RP 100 pointer. Remarkable with huge body but low tannins. My guess n the was Tempranillo based the color and body. Clearly I am out of blind tasting practice. It may be also eternal so really a treat to catch this “lightning in a bottle”. It may be a few more years before the others are opened.

Blanc de Blancs goodness. Complete without being over the top. Balanced and quite enjoyable.

Really nice Verdejo at a good price point under $12 USD. Balanced with p acidity+ and lemon curd flavors. A delicious match with food - used in Risotto and consumed during the meal. Tasty!

Decanted about 30 min prior to first glass. This wine is still young but strong Barolo fruit flavors cherry etc. along with a touch of anise. Good structure but very tannic upon opening. With food it improved and ended up in a good place.

This was a delightful wine start to finish. The mineral finish was unexpected but very noticeable in a good way. Will buy more. From the producer - Grape varieties: Grenache noir 45%, Carignan 45%, Merlot 10; Vineyards: Organic and sustainable, 100% winery owned; Still red wine with natural and fruity flavors, a taste of minerals – fresh, aromatic and elegant.

Solid Pinot with a touch of the smoke flavor. It added to the wine in a weird way so we will see how this one ages - could go either way. I'm pretty sensitive to TCA, brett and other flaws but this one didn't hit the sink.

Dark ruby color with cherry and spice aromas. Decanted about 30 minutes and really opened up as we poured the first glasses. Great value on this wine.

In line with other bottles but maybe off its peak. This was the last of 6 bottles and it seemed slightly tired.

Dark ruby color - this was a lovely bottle of this Barolo. Classic Barolo aromas and flavors but in a rather tight presentation. Reco a longer decant or waiting a bit longer on this one.

This was an exceptional bottle of an exceptional cuvee. Structured, sophisticated and complex with almond flavors. A previous bottle seemed over the peak but this was fresh. The flavor profile was similar to aged Dom P with less mushroom notes. Loved it and a fantastic bday wine!

A very big, bold Cab blend. Good components but could have benefitted from a decant to smooth out the rough edges. Very good with strongly flavored food.

Ruby color with spice and cherry fruit on the nose. Flavors - cherry fruit with a minerally finish. Balanced and Chambolle in character. I could drink this all day. Probably not at peak yet but definitely in the window.

Ruby color with fresh cherry aromas and flavors. There was also a savory component and earthiness that gave the nod to Italy. Very young but with potential to improve. We will bury these in the cellar for a few years.

Very fine Pinot even as a baby. It drank well with a decant or should continue to improve in the cellar.

A fantastic bottle! Grand Cru in the house - it started with a superb nose that I could have smelled all day. It had everything - dark cherry fruit, spice, earth and a silky texture. We opened right before dinner and it was so good it almost didn't make dinner. Bottles like this are uncommon in my Burgundy experience. This last bottle was purchased on release in 2003.

Solid Barbaresco that needs a decant to shine. Spice aromas and pronounced licorice flavors. The cherry fruit is in the background now. Overall it was balanced and very good with food.

It's interesting to see the recent notes on this wine as the bottle variation appears to be present due to shipping etc. That said this bottle was everything vintage Krug should be. Vintage wise this is more like the 1988 than the 1990. Medium- gold color with pear and brioche aromas and flavors along with a zing of orange. It was still fresh and evolved from the first glass to the last. Loved it!

Garnet color - Still kicking after 50 years - it still had a nose and finish and structure. A treat for a 50th birthday celebration. Opened 30 minutes in advance with a small amount of very fine sediment.

Started out pleasant but no tastes stood out. After a few minutes it opened up with tart lemon flavors with decent acidity on the finish. Better with food. I would buy this again under $15. Note on bottle says organic and vegan friendly.

Very food-friendly. Crisp without being austere. I would drink this again especially with spicy foods such as Chinese, Thai etc. food.

Dark ruby with a ruby rim. Drinking well now but could use additional cellar time for integration. I don't see this as a long term cellar candidate. Well-priced ~$15 USD with decent balance. Decanted about 15 min before serving.

Popped and poured. Dark ruby color. Slight barnyard and spice aromas leading into complex spice, cherry fruit (maybe dried as others noted). Violets on the finish. Complex and balanced with a silky texture. This was a good bottle of this wine - it may have benefited from a decant.

GSM from the Faugeres AOC - 30% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 30% Mourvedre. Red fruit aromas with black cherry flavors. Finished with a savory, saline and minerals. Balanced with enough structure to continue to improve but was good with food. Sub~$20 and will buy again.

Consumed after the other 2002 vintage Champagne because you shouldn't follow good Champagne with other ;). This one was not citrusy at all with apple, pear, honey and almond flavors. Very balanced! Love this wine!

This bottle seemed very BdB-like with lemon and almond flavors. Maybe a touch of graham cracker? This is a very good wine well-worth it to hold for a few years to follow its evolution. Medium- on the weight - seemed on the lighter side. Disgorged 2010.

This was good at a tasting so we purchased a few bottles. Opened in Aug 2019 this bottle had so much matchstick/suphur character that I found it undrinkable and poured it out.

Typical for Prosecco - doesn't taste spoofy. This is good enough to drink on its own or used as a mixer. Drinks well at $9.99.
