Beautiful, deep rich black raspberry color, opaque, long slow tears, shiny. Black plum, warm earth, cedar & tar aromatics. Mouth full voluptuous soft tannins, black fruits, subtle pepper, soft gripping mid pallete, lingering finish. Big, full, satisfying, muscular yet elegant; a beautiful wine in the heart of Winter. Thanks once again 750 wines, another gorgeous glass, cheers!

Elegant, refined, silky and soft, with a floral, tobacco, truffle and sweet cherry nose, this medium bodied charmer is fully mature.

This was one of my favorite pinots in a long time. On the nose, pomegranate, strawberry, baking spice, wet rock and white flower. Beguiling! On the palate, pomegranate, cherry, cranberry and citrus, with a note of bubblegum and a hint of something savory. Silky tannin and velvety mouthfeel. A sensual wine, and likely to improve with age.

Color is deep purple magenta near black at full glass. Thick and fast moving legs with a second tier dripping thin and slow; multifaceted. Massive warm brown woodland spicy, black licorice, vanilla, burnt caramel aromatics. Palette is full bodied, delicious with a slightly unbalanced constituency of sweetness, dark purple fruits, and unresolved tannin; a fair amount of -OH warmth and volatiles. Finish short subtle cleansing with vegetal and if any floral tones and notes at very end with cocoa. Hobel is a precocious wine with a big awkward nose and gorgeous legs but begs for 3-5 years to mature into a more classical beauty. 75% new French oak and 14.5% -OH.

Lovely faded floral notes on the nose along with soy, mushroom, dried red fruit and subtle spice. This carried to through to the palate which took on more red fruit and rose petal notes before starting to faded after about 2 hours. This was very pretty, bright and lively although not terribly deep. Love the detail and complexity.

Wonderful stuff; a little hot on the back end until it opened up. Great fruit from beginning to end. Day two was perfect as it was "decanted" by then.

Rich 24k golden hue clear, clean fungal nose like fresh mushrooms. Honeyed overtones of botrytis, apricot, silky mouth feel, medium plus body exquisitely in balance. Refreshing round tartness on finish. No signs in wine of age deterioration however moderate cork crumbling. Cork replacement worth considering if to be held past 2016
