11/26/21, 8:01 AM - If it smells like cardboard it’s corked.
8/5/21, 7:39 PM - Damn I drank both of mine this year. Wish I could have waited.
1/6/21, 11:43 AM - Thanks for the kind words. Glad they've been helpful. I don't think I have decanted any of them so far and it goes great with or without food. The last one I had was with steak and it was a good pairing.
12/7/20, 3:57 PM - With New Zealand SB, i prefer more acidic wines. Greywacke is one of my favorites, Whitehaven and Giesen are also good and should be relatively easy to find. There are several others but they may be harder to find. Smith and Sheth, and Matahiwi are also very good.
12/24/20, 7:10 PM - It is what it is. If you only care about professional reviews don’t read mine. That’s an average NZ SB. If you think it’s awesome , great, your palate sucks.
12/24/20, 7:42 PM - Not muuuuuch
12/25/20, 7:03 AM - Good. You’re a loser.
12/7/20, 3:58 PM - I'll try to find it and give them another chance.
10/21/20, 10:09 AM - Dirty diaper mixed with barnyard mixed with old dish sponge. I've experienced the first two in wines and that usually burns off after a couple hours but no such luck with this one. Plus I've had several bottles of this wine and never got those aromas. The taste of the wine seemed off too.
6/17/20, 6:30 AM - It would probably benefit from decanting but it’s still really good from the start.
6/2/20, 1:11 PM - Definitely. I hadn't even thought of that until you mentioned it. I would say it is more Burgundian than CDP.
6/2/20, 4:16 PM - Try Grenache from Paso Robles. I would not consider any of that Burgundian.
6/2/20, 7:13 PM - I’ve had some of my favorite Grenache from Edna Valley. It was an 08 or 09 Grenache from chamisal. One of my favorites.
11/25/18, 4:45 PM - I bought 2. This was the first one. Hopefully the 2nd one is better.
9/11/19, 7:55 PM - No, not yet. I’ll post when I do.
12/20/19, 7:45 PM - 2nd bottle was much better. Needed about 30 minutes to open up
10/6/19, 8:04 PM - I’ve been noticing it a bit of some Bordeaux lately. Seems like a trend that started in 2012 or 2014 for some wineries.
4/27/19, 9:43 PM - I got about half a glass left. I’ll try it out tomorrow night.
4/26/19, 7:56 PM - I think your scoring system might be a little off
2/1/19, 9:06 PM - Great description. This wine does feel hollow. I’ve never heard that before but it’s a perfect description especially with the acidity. You expect something after the acidity but it just dissapears.
12/19/18, 6:16 PM - Thanks for the advice. I’ll stop posting about wine. Douche.
7/5/18, 10:09 PM - I haven’t come around yet. Don’t know if I ever will.
5/26/18, 8:52 PM - 27 more to go. Holy cow. That’s a good one to have a lot of.
2/22/18, 5:41 PM - The Vintage port was wine of year they not the LBV
7/19/17, 9:00 PM - I got mine at winex too. Killer deal.
11/15/16, 4:42 PM - I feel like I've read this before somewhere
9/17/15, 9:33 PM - If i had any left I'd send it to you. It's not for my palate.
7/16/14, 1:52 PM - Plagiarism. This note is straight from Chamisal. Be original. This doesn't help anyone.
5/3/13, 8:32 PM - I agree. It does taste like a Cab.
1/1/13, 7:26 PM - Me too. Whitcraft has become very inconsistent.
