This is a really nice Sauvignon Blanc with good citrus, minerality and salinity. It is easy to enjoy and goes well with asparagus and lighter fish courses. This is a good value.

Lots of rasberries and blueberries, but not too pronounced as some west coast pinots can be. Good minerality and mouthfeel as well. A really nice wine.

I like how this wine has developed more complexity since my last bottle. It has a lovely nose of ripe orchard fruits. On the palate, there are lots of orchard fruits, vanilla, crème brûlée, nice minerality, and very full mouthfeel. A long finish.

This bottle provides a similar experience to my last one more than a year ago. Quite pleasant, but uninspiring. The wine has a floral scent with tart red strawberry fruit, and a little bit of spice, plus good minerality.

The nose gives lots of lemon and lime scents. It has delicious citrus fruit, including lemon, lime, and grapefruit. Lots of minerality, sea salt, some chalk, flintiness, pronounced acidity. It has a lingering finish of all of these elements.

This is a very nice Sauvignon blanc from Pouilly Fumé. It has been a few years since I last tried a bottle from this producer. It is a very good value.

This is a little soon to drink these, but I wanted to try one to see what it was like. It does have nice dark red fruits, including plums and red currents and some chocolate notes. I do detect some fine tannins and good acidity. It is earthy and is silky on the palate. However, I think it needs a few years to come together better.

This is an interesting approach to sauvignon blanc from Germany. It has good acidity and minerality, plus some citrus including lime. I sense that it is slightly off-dry.

This wine has a lot of tension between its acidity, fruit, including citrus and green apple, flintiness and the minerality. I find it to be nicely complex for a village level Chablis. It has a full mouthfeel and a lingering finish. Quite nice. I agree with the comments from Guanyu.

Another amazing bottle of this wine, which we enjoyed last evening. However, there is one glass left that I am enjoying while writing this review.

As before, the wine came together quite well after it was open for an hour and warmed up from cellar temperature. Lots of red fruits, a little sour cherry at first that mellowed into more luscious raspberry and cherry fruit. It seems to have a number of years of life left. A very enjoyable Burgundy!

Because I really enjoy Chateau le Puy, I decided to try this wine as it is owned and produced by the same family.

When I first tried this wine (pop n’pour), I was not impressed as it is quite light bodied and did not seem to have a lot of fruit. But now that it has been opened for an hour, I am warming up to it, a little bit.

It is light in alcohol at 12%, light bodied and has some nice red fruit, no oak, and light tannins. For the price, it is okay, but I prefer fuller bodied Bordeaux.

The wine is light bodied, round and soft, but with the acidity as you would expect in a Chablis. There is lemon and lemon zest, plus good minerality and some sea salt. However, I find the finish to be short and lacking the complexity that I would expect in a premier cru.

This is an enjoyable Zinfandel with lots of black cherries, plums and cranberries. The firm acidity holds in check the sweetness of the fruit. It is certainly at its peak and probably will not improve, so I would recommend enjoying your bottles sooner rather than later.

This is a savory Bourgueil that’s ready to drink. It has dark red fruit, forest floor, bell pepper, good minerality, earthiness, and a medium body. It is in a perfect place now to enjoy.

This wine has a beautiful red color with an orange rim. It has lovely dark red fruits, bramble, herbs de Provence and some green olive. It has great length and a roundness to it that is pleasing. The tannins have been resolved, but it still keeps the rustic characteristics of a typical wine from Bandol.

This wine is quite nice, especially for the closet out price I paid of $20. It is very complex, with honeyed pear and green apple and zippy acidity to balance that out, plus nice minerality.

Nice spice box, cherries, raspberries and balanced acidity for this wine. Had it last evening and it was quite enjoyable. I do agree that the fruit is on the leaner side, but that is just an observation, not a compliant.

This bottle has some citrus fruit, gooseberries, lemon grass, lemon zest, stony minerality, and good acidity. It has all the elements of my previous bottles of this vintage. However, it seems that the fruit has faded somewhat and the wine, at least for this bottle, has lost some of its vibrancy. It has been stored in a 55 degree cellar since release.

I had this at a pizza joint last evening and it went well with the pizza! This is a typically dry and somewhat tannic Dolcetto with the fruit in the background. Nevertheless, it has plumb, sorry cherry and blackberry notes. It has tart acidity and really requires some food to enjoy it at its fullest.

Another delicious bottle of SP68! As with previous bottles, I enjoyed the light red fruits, lively acidity and savory characteristics of this wine. It is a light to medium bodied wine that is easy to enjoy. It is not for long term aging, however.

Similar notes as my last bottle of this wine. It is quite delicious and savory with a nice light red color with a lightly perfumed nose. It has soft red fruits, including raspberries and cherries, sour cherries, green tea, Asian spices, plus good minerality and acidity.

Compared to my previous bottles in the last year, this one has a more muted nose. But as before, this one has nice cherry fruit that seems to be fading just a bit, plus red currents, spices, earthiness and a savory finish. Quite enjoyable, and probably has a few years to go with its drinking window.

The wine has a garnet color and a somewhat expressive nose of blue violets. I like the dark red fruits, minerality and balanced acidity. It is savory with some spices and delicate on the palate, but very dry or perhaps some drying tannins remain that are more predominate than the red fruit. Nevertheless, a nice wine at its apogee.

At almost 9 years of age, this is a great California Chardonnay. The nose has nice orchard fruits and the color is a light gold. It has lots of orchard fruits on the palate, great minerality and zippy acidity. This is not a so-called buttery CA Chardonnay and I like that about it. It seems like it has a lot of life left in it.

This is my first bottle of Eyrie Pinot Noir and I was very interested in trying it. I was very pleasantly surprised by how delicious, silky and elegant it is.

What an expressive nose of pinot fruit. I like the crimson color of the wine too. It has lots of dark red fruits, including strawberries, black cherries, and a little cranberry. It is earthy, spicy and savory with silky tannins along with good acidity.

Lots of blackberry and dark cherry fruit. The wine is very generous and more typical of Chinon in this vintage and not as rich as 2017, 2018 and 2019 (but that is not a complaint, just an observation). It is also very savory, earthy, with silky tannins (no new oak is used), smooth and delicious. I like these wines also for the lower alcohol levels: this one is at 12%. I am sure it will age nicely for the next ten years or so.

I decanted this wine a couple of hours ago, which I recommend both for aeration and leaving behind the sediment in the bottle.

The nose on this wine is giving me hints of dark red fruits, including plums. As you would expect, the color is a bright red with an orange rim.

I am really enjoying the dark red fruits, including plum and blackberrry. The wine is very savory with some garrique, chocolate, and spices. The tannins seem to be fully integrated, but still firm. Great concentration, good structure, nice acidity and minerality too. It is at the beginning of its drinking window.

I think this is a great Beaujolais, and a bargain at that. Really nice dark red fruits, including blueberries and cherries. It is medium to full bodied and very ample, with a full mouthfeel and lively acidity.

The wine has an orange rim, but nice dark red color overall. Lots of blueberries, licorice, blackberries, cassis, black olives and herbs de Provence.

I decanted the bottle an hour or so ago.

As I experienced with my previous bottles of this vintage, the tannins have softened and it is ready to enjoy, but they are still noticeable. It shows Bandol typicity as it will probably always show a rustic side.

Day two: I saved half of this bottle into a 1/2 bottle, stuck the cork in it and put it back in the cellar overnight. So this evening, this is not such a great wine. I am not sure what to think about this. Now there is a lack of fruit plus drying tannins on the palate.

I decanted this young wine about one hour ago and it was still at cellar temperature. It has a lovely dark red to purple color with some muted aromatics including blue violets and red currants.

It is full bodied with nice dark red fruits, fine tannins, a touch of oak, and it is very savory, rich and concentrated. The finish is long and you can tell the structure is there for some years in the cellar. While you can drink it now, it will certainly become more complex and more enjoyable after the tannins soften.

However, I will say that I was surprised by the 14.5% alcohol level, especially for a wine from burgundy.

For $20, this is a good wine that is easy to drink. It has good citrus fruit, including grapefruit, and lychee nut, plus good minerality and a slightly honeyed texture. I agree that perhaps it could use a little more acidity, but overall, it seems balanced and has a nice medium finish.

This is a very delicious Gigondas! Lots of dark, ripe, red fruits, garrique, minerality, and very savory. The wine is very well in balance and is not rustic like I find many wines from this appellation. A good QPR.
