White - Sparkling
N.V. Champagne Legrand-Latour Champagne Yprésien Champagne Blend
70% Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir. 11 months in fûts. Jan 21 disgorgement. Zero dosage.

Lemon sherbet, very light style for Meunier, gentle and very fresh. A summer style maybe.

    7/29/22, 5:58 AM - Worth a try, but it's lighter for sure.

White - Sparkling
N.V. Jacques Selosse Initial Champagne Grand Cru Chardonnay
1 Feb 2005 disgorgement. Rich deep gold, still a strong initial mousse that tailed off. Nose of burnt orange, light caramel and lemongrass. A little chunky on the palate, fresh still with a gentle but crisp finish.

10/23/20, 9:56 AM - Caramel, could be linked to oxidation or autolysis. However both my wife and I independently commented that this was a lot less oxidative than the same bottling 5-7 years ago!
