Softer after a night on vac. Mild meaty nose. Nice char and smoky quality. Big tart, chewy finish. It’ll keep for a while.

Good combination of fruit and minerality. Glycerin gives it a a nice texture and softens the acidity. I would get again.

Lots of wood on nose. Tobacco and wood on palate that tend to overwhelm the fruit. Some cola sweetness with a well integrated acidity. I liked this, but not better than their less expensive offerings.

8/8/13, 8:53 AM - Hi Joegish - yes I wondered about this. Wood may not be the right adjective but it had some smokey and other aromatic notes that I associate with it. I certainly tasted it differently from other notes. I found it quite different from the other Mv PN's (St Rita Hills, Verna's), much less of the interesting fruit of those wines that I quite like. I have a little left (not much) and will try it again tonight.
