3/6/20, 7:19 PM - Feline Liquid - that's funny! What's wrong with a little cat pee? :-)
7/24/19, 7:54 PM - Sounds corked to me...
3/22/18, 7:13 PM - PnP or decanted, thanks?
3/24/18, 4:10 AM - Thanks. Just wondering if it might open up more with a longer decant.
3/22/18, 5:02 AM - :-)
2/28/18, 7:51 PM - It's on the calendar! :-)
2/10/18, 12:41 PM - Not saying you shouldn't drink up, but are you sure it's not just one bottle? I will pop one of mine soon and provide feedback.
1/15/18, 6:59 PM - Hi Mike - how were the tannins at this point - huge?Thx - Joe
12/10/17, 6:31 AM - Just received 2 of these in the mail but I will hold. Thanks for taking one for the team!
12/5/17, 7:00 PM - Yes - thanks, Chris! I may open a couple on Christmas with the family so the heads up is appreciated...
5/23/17, 5:56 PM - Hi Dennis - just a small question... You mentioned "97 pts pn night one" but also rated it 87. Was it a nice wine? :-) (Maybe a bit high alcohol? ;-)
3/16/17, 6:34 PM - Any decant involved?
3/4/17, 10:18 AM - One of my favorite domestic vineyards for chardonnay and Littorai does it right. Rivers Marie also uses this vineyard - would be a good shoot out.
3/4/17, 10:29 AM - I seem to have been drinking these as I only have left the Littorai 13 and 14, and the Rivers Marie 12 and 15. Looks like '12 is the common denominator!
2/16/17, 7:09 PM - Thanks for the note, Tim - I have a couple of these and a couple of the 2010s that I am looking forward to.
2/16/17, 7:55 PM - Hillarious! how about you come to Dallas and I will share?!
2/16/17, 7:15 PM - Hi MC2 - Off topic slightly but I just love Din Tai Fung - only been to two different locations in Taipei (not OC) but I always hit the place when I can. I am also a fan of Pinot Gris so I will try to remember for the future!
2/16/17, 7:54 PM - Certainly Oregon is better (IMHO) that any Grigio I have ever had, but I am still partial to Alsace for Pinot Gris!
1/11/17, 6:51 PM - Does it "Warrant" the price? Taste so good make a grown man cry? 😎Interesting label - I will check it out next time in Total Wine.
11/2/16, 5:48 PM - Great notes, Chelsea - keep 'em coming! :-)
11/1/16, 4:31 PM - I just ordered 4 and they have already shipped. Thanks, Matt!
9/15/16, 6:41 PM - I have another - I have taped a picture of a turkey and dressing on the bottle! :-)
9/5/16, 8:20 PM - This wine in starting to find a groove right now. Had two in the last week and both were fine with a capital F. Might improve more but it's in a good spot so why wait?
8/3/16, 7:26 PM - So because AG gave it 95, you did too?
8/4/16, 5:12 PM - Actually, I'm not sure if it's an issue as I don't remember if you entered a score where it counts. Just putting AG95 in the text does not do anything but rating it in a public note does. I only commented because (IMHO) it would be good to provide YOUR thoughts and rating in the tasting note, not AG's. I already read AG's 95 point rating on the wine. (Which, BTW, I have one in my cellar as well). Cheers! :-)
3/20/16, 6:49 PM - From my visit two months ago - same vote here!
2/9/16, 6:14 PM - Sounds like a great "class". Wish I was a student! :-)
11/24/15, 6:02 PM - I thought this was your T-giving turkey wine! Now watcha gonna do?! 🙈
11/13/15, 5:40 PM - I agree, Joe - nice full bodied wine. (Although I prefer my Kabinett a might bit drier than this. Tasted amost Spatlese-like to me.)
11/7/15, 9:00 AM - Thanks for taking one for the team, Robert!
11/7/15, 7:50 AM - Oski has been having some bad wine luck lately. A couple flawed bottles in a couple days....hope things are looking up!
9/19/15, 5:17 PM - I'm confused you mention 92-93 pts but rated it 87?
9/19/15, 6:02 PM - :-)
7/24/15, 7:51 PM - Day 2 follow-up: sensing a bit more spice in the fruit than yesterday and the fruits are more blackberryish. Still a bit stiff in the tannin and alcohol department. I'm thinking it may have lost a point overnight. I still recommend trying in a couple years to see if the tannins integrate more.
7/23/15, 7:54 PM - Bug spray and rubber ducky?! You feeling ok, Tim? ;-)
7/23/15, 8:10 PM - Prolly not till Thanksgiving time, unless I come out to do a little MTBing out near Fruita. Interested in getting together around T-Giving for some wining?
4/29/15, 6:36 PM - Fantastic champagne!
4/29/15, 6:34 PM - ..and it is much appreciated. Letting it sleep after such a tiring weekend at the lake. We'll keep ypu informed. :-)
4/12/15, 5:55 PM - IMHO, I've never known a Ramey chard to be subtle, but I have know them to be very tasty!
4/12/15, 8:34 PM - Agreed - and very drinkable!
3/18/15, 7:14 PM - No problem, Chris...of course, YMMV. 🍷
12/31/14, 10:41 AM - Thanks for the note, Robert. Do you think this will improve with time?
10/9/14, 3:51 PM - I have only tried one of these but for the price, I thought it was pretty remarkable (although I did not enter a note on it). From memory, I would have given it a 91 - good performance and good age for the buck!
7/18/14, 10:06 AM - I also enjoy this wine very much - a great representation of a US sparkler. Cheers!
3/14/14, 7:21 PM - 2nd night; slightly better - lots of fruit, picking up a bit of salty meat as well above and beyond everything from last night. Enjoyable with lots going on!
3/14/14, 8:29 PM - Sorry - one last comment....DECANT!!... :-)Last glass from the bottle had so much fine tannin in it that it was all hazy, like a stream after 2 days of rain. Very fine - double decant it and maybe even screen it, too. Besides, that - yummy stuff.
2/23/14, 5:52 PM - I also find Tor and Jeff's grenache wines very nice, but for some reason, other producer's grenaches don't seem so nice. Glad to hear this...
2/18/14, 6:51 PM - This year is a great year for the P-Heidseck NV Brut. I have gone through 4 in the last 3 months and want to buy more.
12/5/13, 7:28 PM - W-strategies : you are most welcome and let's do it again!
8/21/13, 5:20 AM - I agree with CIH - good stuff but better deals out there.
7/20/13, 8:08 PM - Glad to see your review on this Robert, as I just purchased my first Jose Dhondt today. Now I am encouraged....I will post my results when I pop it, too.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
