2011 Castellare di Castellina Chianti Classico Riserva Chianti Classico DOCG Sangiovese Blend, Sangiovese
These are the most difficult wines in long time.. 6 bottles in 8 days, such enourmous bottle variation. Vrote mail to importer, no answer... but the nice one are soft and smoothe chianti..very much saviognese, very typical and pleasant...

    5/4/20, 3:11 PM - my understanding is that lots of Tuscan producers don't have AC and temperature variations are out of control in their production processes. I think that can lead to bottle variation but not sure.

I couldnt really be bothered by previous bottles but this one, after a gap of several years, shines as an example of classic, well made right bank Bordeaux. Everything is in place, and it is thoroughly enjoyable today. Amazing QPR. Some of the previous scores seem to me a bit OTT though.
