Drank over Christmas period accompanied by lots of biscotti and nuts. Very deep colour, almost brown. Lots of raisin and nuts on node and palate. Very thick and creamy but with good acidity to cut through everything. Fantastic qpr.

I've had this a few times now and continue to enjoy it. Nose of mild spicy cherry. An elegant wine, not as powerful as its neighbours, but I like it very much for its balance.

5/9/13, 2:36 AM - Yes of course. But its surprising what these decent makers manage to do in bad vintages, certainly in the last 10 years. One advantage of an 'off' vintage is that it might mature quicker - apparently the 2001's are good to go; not a 'great' vintage but good and already maturing nicely.
