Excellent, pure fruit quality. Little oak and soft tannins. Drinking well early with some air.

Perhaps this needs to breathe a little more - great again overall

Amazing with two days of a little air in the fridge. Back to 95

expressive and deep. Some folks on the table felt the nose is a little unclean. But I was with the majority liking the wine quite a lot. Possibly an early drinking Riche.

A little closed nose first, opening ever so slightly up. But mid palate and finish are excitingly beautiful. DRC class, no question.

Solid, deep, archetypically intense Richebourg. A little oak still. Not a super exciting nose, but overall shows very well.

Really amazing nose. the typical mix of great fruit, stems and polished oak hints creating DRC signature nose. Hints of mints and spice. Very long, clean, deep. In an excellent spot to drink now.

Too smokey for me, probably because of toasted oak treatment. I had some better vintages of this, but the 2000 a little disappointing, particularly if you look for the Richebourg elegance and purity.

Like many 1998 reds, this is lacking a little charm. With time it opened up a little, but I remain unconvinced of this vintage.
