This wine is doing extremely fine, even in a difficult year. Still a lot of fruits, and good tannins to make it firm and pleasent. Aftertaste medium long, very nice. Now the only problem is that i only have one more bottle left from this vintage...

Very dark red in the glass. Nose of mature fruits like plums, and a taste that fills the mouth with intense berry notes. Not an elegant wine, but a heavy one for ex. game and intense tasting ox stew dishes. Recommended if you like this type of overseas wine (as I do from time to time).

Bright red color. Nose reveals mature black fruits like plums, plus tobacco and cigar box. The palete shows smooth yet powerful fruits and good integrated tannins, that finishes in a medium+ aftertaste. Very recommended. At its top right now (enjoy now or for the next years).

On the nose you have the most wonderful notes of peach, apricot and apple. In the mouth it fills you with fresh fruits, nicely balanced by a fresh but not dominating acid, that gradually fills the oral cavity and ends in a long aftertaste. No devastating oak here. This wine is just so refreshing, that you will soon grab for the glass to have another sip.

Very dark red color. Bouquet dominated by dark fruits like cherries, plums and figs. High alcohol (15%) evident at inhalation. Very mature. Palate with plenty of fruit, delicious. Aftertaste medium. I need a bit more tannic attack. The wine is ready for drinking now. Recommended and a good bargain. I should have bought some more bottles for the cellar. To be served a bit cool.

Medium+ in color (strawyellow). Bouquet honey, pineapple, citrus notes. Pelate shows the full depth of this second wine (but what a second)! Honey, pineapple, citrus is still there, but now in addition with melon and peach notes. The acid is just enough to lift the wine on a fresh level. A very nice glass of sauternes wine! Recommended!

Like the last bottles of this wine it showed a very fine drinking condition. In the nose cedar, plus ripe mature berries. Each sip was full of fruity components, wrapped in smooth, almost sweet tannins. At the top now, and presumably for the next 3-5 years ahead. A very good bargain at ca. 12 $ in Netto (Denmark). Recommended! (I know that this vintage is sold out, but at the moment the 2009 vintage is sold, so go for some bottles for the cellar!)

Given sufficient air for 1-2 hrs brings the wine to life. Nose with fruity tones, alcohol very present. Fullbodied taste with nice tannins wound in dark fruits components. Will develop with further cellaring for ca. 2-4 years. A nice wine - and a very good bargain at approximately 10 $

Nice easy drinkable white Bordeaux wine. Well suited for fish and seafood dishes - or just to drink well cooled without food on a sunny day. Color light yellow/golden. Nose reveals typical Sauvignon notes, most notable elderflowers. Taste shows fresh fruit notes as peach and citrus. The acid is perfectly matching the fruity style. It is long ago that I tasted this wine last time, but I'll for sure buy it in the future in other vintages to see if the quality is persistent. Maybe this 2011 vintage is just superior to other vintages? Well, at a price of about 10 $ it is a good bargain. I'll buy some more to drink over the next year or so. Usually these fruity types are best when drunk young. Recommended!

Have had this one a few times before. One of the best Chilean Carmenere wines i've ever tasted. Color dark red. Nose reveals lots of fruits, very delicious. Taste chewy with lots of dark fruits, but at the same time, fresh and drinkable. Fullbodied. Tannins nicely sewed into the fruity and pleasent mouthful. Aftertaste >25 sec, very good. The wine is at the top right now, but the are still some years to enjoy the wine. A scoop of a bargain to less than 20$.

A nice Ch. Laroze in it's 14.th year. Mature notes of ripe fruit and tobacco dominates the nose. The taste reveals full integrated tannins, and a wonderful fruity mouthfilling taste with plums and tobacco box, continuing in a nice 20+ sec aftertaste, that ends up the wonderful experience. Although the wine is at it's mature stage, It will undoubtly still be enjoyable for some more years in the future. I'll for sure take a few more bottles to the cellar - as my wine pusher still have some more bottles to offer. Recommended!

A defect? Medium rich. Tannins well integrated. Aftertaste medium long. All in all a nice cheap Bordeaux, well worth the price. Still somel years to live.

This botthe is filled with comprimated sunshine. Decanted and aerated for 1 hour. Color dark fresh red. The nose reveals ripe berry aromas, plus marzipan and mint. Tannins fills in and builds up with the fruity flavour to make a very pleasent unity when tasting the wine. Wow! Taste starts up gently and smoothly builds up to a peak , that slowly fades out in a middle+ to long, pleasent aftertaste. Look for this wine - and buy some spare bottles. I think that this wine will be drinkable with joy for many years ahead.

Having tasted this wine a few years before I must say, that it has evolved very positively since then. The color is red with just a hint of an orange rim. In the nose I smell tobacco, cigar box, and a nice fruity mix of ripe and mature berries. Taste is fantastic fruity with a firm tannic backbone. Taste continues in a long and pleasent aftertaste. The wine is very good right now, and I expect it to continue to be drinkable for many years on. A great wine!

The wine still needs several hours of aeration. Color is dark red. Nose with red and black berries, cedar flavour and hints of marzipan. Taste with firm tannic attack. Dominated by berries. Medium finish. Quite pleasent after 4-5+ hours aeration. The wine is still too much oak dominated from the barrels. It is still improving with time. This wine is best with meat like heavy stewed meat, such as the French "pot au feu" or the Hungarian "Gulyas".

This wine is a big one! The wine has quite a lot of sediments. So remember to decant. Furthermore, the wine needs to be aerated in the present state. I gave it 2 hours, but more time is recomended right now. Color very dark ruby. Nose with tons of fruits, consisting mainly of dark cherries, and marzipan. Taste shows very massive tannins, and a lot of underlying dark fruits. Aftertaste long with marked tannins. I suspect that this wine will develop much over the next 5-10-15 years. The rating will undoubtly be even better after some years. Buy more, if you have the facilities to cellar the wines properly.

Color bright red. Nose dry and fruity. Taste at first rather light bordeaux style, later dominated by oak and vanila from barrels. Too much oak in my opinion. But there are nice fruits here too - and pencil tree. Aftertaste medium and OK if it wasn't for the over-oaky flavour. This wine is hardly worth the cost. It might be better in the future?

Look for this: The wine has a dark ruby color. No sign og orange rim here. After decanting it was left in the decanter for 2 hours before I began tasting. At start the nose revealed not much other than alcohol, while the nose within the next hours gradually showed scents og dark fruit. Taste developed likewise, from a very tannic taste in the start to a beautiful fruity taste , - while the tannic acid still were there, but now smoother and acting to wrap in the dark fruit taste. In addition to dark fruit there was scents of mint and licorice. This tells me, that the wine still has a considerable ageing potential. After 4 hours the bottle was emptied. Next time I'll try to decant for 3 hours before I start tasting the wine. If I can wait that long. The aftertaste after 4 hours is long and very pleasent. The wine is a superb bargain for less than 20$ at a supermarket ("Fakta") about a year ago. I am lucky to have 4 cases left :-)

We served the wine with a fish dish. That was a bad choice, as the wine is pretty sweet. Served with blue cheese or foie gras would be a much better choice. Or served well chilled, as an appetizer. That would be a smart choice. Color is beautiful golden. The nose is typical of a gewurztraminer with honey, flowers and spices. The taste is precisely in accordance to the aromatic smell. Nice and affordable (70 Dk Kr = about 14 $) sweet wine type, but never use it with a fish serving!

G R E A T wine! I decanted, followed by an hour of aerating in a wide area decanter. This was not time enough. So I tasted during another 2 hours, where the tannins softened and the taste improved further. Color dark ruby. Nose with fruit, fruit and fruit, prunes and black berries. And tobacco plus cigar box. Taste wonderful with previous mentioned items, packed in firm tannins. Aftertaste very long, delicate. The wine performed best 3+ hours after opening. There are several years before this wine peaks. Have had this wine earlier, but without decanting at that time. Taste was then dominated by a massive tannic load. Today the wine was decanted and aerated for 2 hrs. Color medium+ ruby. Nose revealed tannic and leather notes. Taste with dry fruit notes. Tannins today much better integrated, and giving space for fruit and leather notes. I'll give this wine a few more years to develop further. Well worth the price, danish kroner 100 (which equals less than 20 $).

It took 3-4 hours to open up, even after a swirl in the decanter. Colour is relatively light, as compared to other shiraz wines. Although the alcohol is relatively moderate for a South African wine (14%), it is abundant in the nose. Taste notes includes prunes and vanilla. Compared to the 2003 vintage this one is a lot more flat. I was honestly dissapointed, but maybe there are improvements ahead, in a few years?

Colour dark red. Nose wonderful fruity. After decanting and aerating for 1 hour taste is progressively softening. Black fruit, chocolate and vanilla notes dominates the taste, which is nicely layered and continuing in the aftertaste. This is a very good glass of wine, giving much value for the money (20 $ sales price, ordinary price 27 $ - still worth the money ). If I should complain, I could suggest a bit more firm tannic touch.
