Surprisingly still quite good and enjoyable. Not getting any better, but evenly balanced with fruit and acid. You can tell that it was probably a bit better a year ago, but perfect with ribs and mesquite chicken drink up if you have any.

Agree with all the previous reviews. Nothing to add other than i wish i had another bottle so i could open it again in 2 years to see if it got even better.

decanted for 2 hours. solid wine. LONG finish, balanced tannins. Another 3-5 years for this wine to get to full maturity. Luckily I have one more bottle. :-)
The wine looks inky colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), light toast and stoniness.
Red
Excellent wine. Drinking great right now. mid-level intensity. Pomegranate and some red fruit. Smooth as silk. Drink up!
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

on its way down... not totally gone, but losing fruit and any depth, as if it had any to begin with being a blend. Drink up if you still have any.

Tasted last night. used Coravin. This wine is great. Holding up very well. Pomegranate/maturity, and vanilla notes on the long finish. Fruit and acid balance are in alignment. It s not getting any better, but this wine is drinking great right now. Went really well with veggie pizza with red peppers. Wish I had another bottle... glad I waited.
The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

should have opened this a year or so ago, but it actually has some nice strawberry fruit on the palate and while very light, is a great wine with a Caesar salad. But yes, if you still have one, drink it!

Wowza! This is one amazing Grenache! Tasted by Coravin last Wednesday and it was stupendous with what I would consider years to go. Finished the bottle on Saturday night with a Filet and it was even BETTER/Smoother and more balanced. I wish I had another bottle... Has at least 2-3 years of aging to go to peak, but OH so good right now.

Agree with almost all previous reviews. Drank with a HUGE prime rib at Harris'. WOWZA! Still has lots of life. Wish I had another! Brought home a little bit that was left in the bottle and drinking now as I write this. STILL amazing. Let it rest if you have one. Its got a good 4-5 years to hit peak.
Red
agree with the last review. Very good now and will probably hang in there and maybe soften up a bit and hopefully keep the fruit over the next couples years. I only had one bottle. wish I had another to see if this has more aging to reach the top. I'll have to find out through other reviews... tic-tock. Enjoy.

I totally disagree that this wine is past it's prime! We drank this one after 6 other older cabs at a steak dinner with Wine Guys group and it was stunning! Even the Somm was blown away. If you have this one, open it now and if you have more than one, hold it for another year or two and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the life of this wine as we were.

Drank with small Wine Guys group gathering at Alfred's against 6 other cabs; voted #2 wine of the night. Opened and poured. Was excellent and stood up the entire night. Perfect time to drink this one! Not gonna get any better, but not fading away just yet.

Drank this last night with a Prime Rib at Leatherneck Steakhouse with some of wine geek friends. it was perfectly ready and may be at it's peak. The Petite Verdot lead the way. the cab was soft and velvety and the merlot fit right into the middle. Wish I had another so I could try it again in a year... oh well, i had it for 5 years and it was worth the wait. Drink up if you have one.

Totally agree with the last 3 reviews. This wine was amazing and still had more life. Maybe another year left. This was my last bottle of 05 W-S. Glad I drank it with The Durham. Very special. One more 06, then onto my 07s!

Drank at the Wine Guys Dec 2016 event at Kitchen Collective in Napa, up against an OW Grenache and 19 other bottles. This wine showed well but needs much more time to peak. Deep red fruit, still tannic and tough. I'd give it another 2 years and try it again or decant for at least 4 hours. Worth it!

I agree with everything everyone said about it and said the same things last night when I drank it with chicken. Good juice.

Fantastic. Aging very wel, will get even better in a few years (one left...). Great depth and structure. Amazingly powerful for a Cab Franc. drank with a Ruths Chris bone-in ribeye steak... yummy! Tasted side-by-side with an 04 Diamond Creek Gravelly Meadow that was also unbelievably awesome... what a way to go!

I actually think this wine can last another year... will never know b/c this was my last bottle of this wine... oh well, great while it lasted

wowee kazowwee! this bottle was amazing and quite surprising that it even lasted 2 days in the refrig! deep, rich, froral, minerals, great fruit/bananas and vanilla and acid balance was perfecto. Golden color and the mouth-feel was smooth and soft. Reminded me of an aged Montrachet. I wish I had another...

I totally agree with the last review... took 3 days for this bottle to this bottle to settle down. Once it did, it was excellent. Syrah's are a tough bird to catch... seems like 8-10 years is the magic range. 5-6 years are just to young, at least for Lynmar.

A good btl of Opus... not as great as I would expect from Opus. maybe an off year. especially based on what CT says is the age-worthiness is. Probably worth drinking up although some recent reviews are better than mine... your call. Not horrible. Worth the time to aerate and good with a steak, none-the-less.

excellent bottle. held up well. very deep, dark with nice smooth balance, although a little hot at first. after 45 minutes was drinking really well. wish I had another bottle. would like to taste again in 1 year to see if it gets softer.

totally agree with the last taster. This wine is very much alive and could even go longer. Don't be fooled by vintage years with Lynmar... they will survive and surprise you if you keep them well cellared/cool.

excellent chard that stands the test of time. this bottle opened up nicely after it warmed up a bit. honey, lemon and butter on the palate. at it's prime right now. drink up if you still have any.

A great bottle of juice. Drank with a filet and it was GOOOOD. almost won as "wine of the night" at our table. Only beaten out by a 97 Montelena which came in #2 overall against 70+ other 97's of the night. Not too shabby

wow... what a surprise. this bottle has absolutely stood the test of time and I agree with the last guy's review, although I wouldn't wait till 2016... maybe 2012 b/c it IS on the way sout but it still has some life in it. let it get to room temp and it stood up well with a nice light chicken and salad dish. I have a few other 05 P&H Chards left in the cellar. Can't wait to try them and write about them as well.

Tasted at the winery in a food/wine pairing again all the new releases and this wine stood out from the entire release head and shoulders over their other reds, although the Meritage did have some med-term cellaring (very young and lot of tannins still). this wine was excellent with the pork tortellini's they served it with. I'd also say that while it is very good now, I can see where 2-3 years from now it will be MUCH better once it softens up a bit. Just a bit pricey for my taste... $50 for a Zin is very expensive IMHO.
