Color perhaps a tad advanced, but this particular bottle is otherwise lovely tonight

Clear relatively light ruby
At first glance, this seemed like light regional Bourgogne, but with 45 minutes the nose opened up dramatically with haunting earthy flavors, bright choke cherry acidity
Quite nice, needs significant airtime

Bright clear ruby
Bright cherry aromas and flavors
Great acidity.
I concur with others assessments that this almost seems more like a new world Sangiovese.

Ripe darker berry flavored, a bit rustic and chunky in the finish, but a flavorful, fairly full bodied zin. 15.1%

Enough acidity to keep this from getting cloying. Short finish, but quite süffig.

Rich gold colored.
Ripe nose with some petrol and botrytis.
Just off-dry sweetness, 11%
Balanced acidity, but without the bones for longer aging.
Drink up while this is still so lovely.
A great surprise and qpr

Dark inky (opaque) ruby black.
Ripe dark berry fruit, still with moderate tannins, but the fruit makes this quite approachable.
Quite tasty now, probably better with time.

Deep opaque ruby
Dense stuff with particularly meaty rustic feel.
Pleasant and tasty enough, but I’d serve on the cooler side. Almost a prickly feel to the tongue
Mostly neutral oak

Ruby with a hint of color suggesting some age
Bright lovely cherry nose on first whiff which faded quickly.
Bright acidity and seeming a bit lean and not quite austere on first look. Not such a charming wine.
Maybe better with time in the glass

Inky black wine, one of the deepest I’ve seen, with deep purple tears.
Huge grapey blackberry aromas and flavors.
While nowhere near elegant this is a huge, delicious Cali Malbec. Some big tannins on the backend, but this really quite remarkable and tasty now. Reasonable balance for such a large wine worth a visit if you appreciate larger styled wines

Deep purple black.
Quite rich and full of dark fruit, rather alcoholic with a still grippy tannic finish.
Quite nice, but may be better when this softens up a bit more

Not quite brilliantly clear green gold
Huge pineapple and clove aromas and flavors, full bodied, rich, as good as cali chard gets if you appreciate the bigger style. Completely resolved and not reason to wait.

Nearly clear, fairly deep ruby garnet, looking like a bit of age.
Mostly dark fruited, yet restrained fruit,
Full bodied and showing some alcohol
Fairly bitter tannins in the finish at first look.
Seems to need some time.
With all the structure, this seemed more Nebbiolo to me.

Light bright ruby.
Light crisp red berry flavors with a moderate bit of oak, that doesn’t detract.
A very nice dry restaurant Pinot that tastes real.

Clear bright ruby with a moderate amount of sediment. Tart choke cherry aromas and flavors and a taut finish in the first look. Needs air.

With 2 hours of air this smooths out considerably with lovely ripe cherry flavors

Ripe but manageable black cherry and dark currant aromas and flavors.
Nice balance and mouth watering acidity.
Nice stuff

Nearly opaque, unclear the cepage on this wine.
Very sweet, this tastes remarkably similar to the current release of Dubonnet. Chocolate, Vanilla, berry, oak. Easy going down, but rather cloying and artificial tasting

Clear garnet
Totally tertiary with the slightest hint of prune.
Mostly iron, a touch of iodine with still some drying tannins. For those who like older wines

I’d suggest a decant and drink up.

Much better with two hour decant, this may hold up much better than the initial look suggested

Varietal, but not much more.

A bit of VA which took a while to blow off, I’d recommend a vigorous decant.
Some nice cherry flavors, but a bit simple.

Pale straw gold.
Rather fragrant lychee, muscat notes
Off dry with nice fruit and acidity.
Blind, I was convinced this was a higher quality Alsatian blend.
Lovely and tasty, but this seem atypical for classic Sauvignon? Or perhaps I haven’t had enough Sancerre lately… ?
