had with Persian new year dinner - fish, rice and other delicacies … this wine was spectacular … a classic Ramey chard that tasted more like Napa than Sonoma. if you like big but not overly buttery bs chard, this one after 10 years in bottle was a TREAT!

thank you David Ramey!

this is tasting well right now - just enough fruit mostly on the middle - just a hint of yamhill red hills tease coming thru - all good for this vineyard.

Both my wife and I loved this wine. Solstice with humus and veggies ... the wine was the brute - and so well matched with the humus

I loved it. The fruit comes out very well in the front and the structure is big with being overwhelming. If u want more fruit, drink now. If you like older flavors, sit on it. This wine will last - had 1.5l bottle with bbq lamb/chicken

this is probably the best DG Pinot yet (i have not yet broken into '13-15) ... like drinking a bit of art ... not sure how much longer this state will persist ... i will be drinking more '09 this winter

typical of the '12 vintage - drinks easy but nothing spectacular. i drank right from cellar ~60 degrees - thought better that way

A bit lithe and soft for a RR, so place your expectations accordingly. A bit of pencil lead on the finish and was definitely better after a few hours open - will hold the remaining bottles another couple years before opening

this was top level Napa Chard (per my tastes) ... somewhat similar to Ramey Napa versions ... smooth but complex, mineral but big ... just this seam between Burg / Sonoma and BIG Napa ... loved it! We drank the full bottle in 1 night - seldom done anymore

So outshines the price of this ... a really solid and interesting CA cab from '06 ... '06 was a mixed year for me, but most were good / interesting, and this one compares to many 2x the $

really on the thin elegant side ... good enough, however. the issue w/ the bottle (and this is the 2nd 1.5l to have the same) was the cork was way too wet for the length of time it was in cellar ... very difficult to remove and then necessary decant & filter to remove particles

hard to diverge from the average on this wine ... such a remarkable vineyard; i remember the old Martini wines from here

Bedrock is wonderfully balanced and pulled together ... nothing sticks out as it does not belong ... we had with snacks rather than full hearty meal and it felt right at home!

the cork was a challenge - really soft and fell apart - however, no bad influence to the wine which was terrific ... just so soft and elegant. a characteristic 'old' (pre-climate change and 9 years in bottle) OR PN ... such a treat; the bottle was gone quickly at T-give dinner

Wonderful - elegant all the way to end with just a touch of sharpness at end due to high alcohol. This could cellar another 10 years imho

this wine really needs to time to open up before drinking .... decant will help

a big but manageable CA syrah with heavy spice flavors

this was absolutely perfect for me ... a bit of age with that honey color and just a treat to drink ... drank first glass on its own and second glass with chicken & soba ... both were terrific! still one of my most favorite US chards ('09 was way good). i still have 1 750 and 1 1.5 in the cellar - happiness.

the last one of the bunch from m'04 ... still have an '03 and some '05/06 ... but the '04 is from the Rutherford Bench and a well crafted wine ... great $50 napa cab, if you ask me ... you'd never know it was 10+ years in bottle
