pretty closed down right now. Drank it over a short period (small pour in the glass for 30 minutes). I wish I could have seen it in the glass a little longer. What I the glass was not generous right now.

In good shape. Excellent village wine. Lots of cove on the nose. Sour cherries in the mouth. Still great acidity. Bought for $40 10 years ago. Hard to find values in Burgundy these days.

Another wonderful Falkenstein. Reservednose with a bit of white orchard fruit, salt, blueberries, and mint. The wine has an almost creamy feel in the mouth with incredibly light touch acidic balance. Spices and herbs on the finish. Exceptional Kabinett.

Cork in good shape. The wine was very tired. No flaws. Drinkable. Just tired. Tannins significantly resolved. There was a nice brown sugar orange peel note.

1995 Château Calon-Ségur St. Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
First bottle of 6 bought on release. In a beautiful spot. All I was hoping for from St Estephe. Open and ready to drink with some teriary notes but still with a solid backbone. Bell pepper, cinnamon, red cherry, tobacco, and smoke. Excellent stuff!

I found this a little tired. Had some interest on nose the nose. Dark stuff- meat, thyme, black fruit. Did not have great energy or interest in the mouth. Was having to force myself to take another sip. I likelly would have felt differently if I was drinking it with Osso-Bucco.

Huge caveat- I have very little experience with brunello. I have had the occasional aged brunello from good houses that made me realize how good the stuff can be. I bought a bunch of 2010s from various houses that were well reviewed but none of them have made me restock the cellar with more. I opened this one for visiting family and we did not have it with food. Drank over two days. Got more tired on the second day.

Like to think I could identify this as Chambolle blind. Red floral nose with sage and spice. Red cherries, strawberries, sweet baking spice in the mouth. Good acidity. Nothe the most ethereal or well integrated wine and it still has some rough angles. But awfully good Chambolle for $84. Would buy again.

In a lovely place. Billyloveswine's note reflects what was in my glass! Red fruit, brown sugar, wet leaves and some mint. Limestone pinot.

I love this. Almost trousseau- but more weight. It is crunchy/natty/juicy/hazy stuff (per FiggySmells). But I dig it. Would buy again at $61.

Extraordinary stuff. In a beautiful young place

PNP. Pretty much nothing to add to Venice Al's note ("Nose is cherry and cranberry fruit, floral, pretty baking spice, baked apple, soft black tea, salty minerals, and some dried herbs"). Surprisingly accessible for relatively young Chevillon. Absolutely delicious and open for busines. I only have one left but I think I may go ahead and drink it soon rather than wait as this wine is in such a beautiful spot.

Such beautiful wine. I am not sure what I paid for it (pre cellar tracker pruchase) but it was likely a song. Rich gold. Tangerine and white orchard fruit on the nose. Salty minerality inflected with sugar and cream. Love the Mosel.

I loved this. The other people at the table found it just too strange. I’ll buy lots more if I can find it.

Love this. Chablis with Jura weirdness.

Totally get Ianllo's review. This is not ytpically white Burgundy. But I LOVE it. A bit natty. Great lemon driven acidity. Reminiscent of Jura. Beautiful stuff.

Not working for me over 3 days. But this is coming from someone who likes nebiolo either from higher alitiude or with aot of age. Not sure this has the stuffing to improve. I have a 1997, I'll check in on. Hope to be surprised.

Bright red crunchy cherry fruit. This is light on its feet and absolutely delicuous. The last vintage I had of this was 2008 which, per my 2013 note, was similarly good. I opened it forgetting what I had paid. The record shows $40. Great value!!

Again- a little over ripe and tired.

Clearly good underlying material but a bit awkward. Not sure if I should have let it rest more. Lots of typicity but did not integrate well. Last bottle so I will never know.

Ditto Montesquieu's note! Absurd value. Crystalline minerality, nectarine and lychee. These wines are such a plesure to drink.

In wonderful shape. Early maturity but still with great youthful lines. Creamy apricots and apples.

Opened my second to last bottle. Crumbling cork. Dead and gone. No Acid. No life. Sigh. So I opened my last. Cork was soaked through and through. But the second bottle was alive and beautiful. Apple sauce, cinnamon, limoncello with some herbal notes. Just great stuff. When I opned the first bottle it made me wonder why I age this stuff. The second reminded me why I do.

Similar impression to my last note from 2020. Delicious village Burgundy. Red cherry fruit on the nose. Broad acidity across the palate with some inflections of earth ad iron. A relative value at $64
