Bright gold color. Upon pouring, a whiff of VA and strong oak notes. However, with time in the decanter, the nose quiets down, and start showing ripe lemon, apricot, mango and flowers, yet with the oak notes in the background. Full body, good acidity, good balance and long finish. This shows very well now, but I suggest at least 30 minutes or extended time in the glass.

Garnet color. Muted nose, only whiff of red fruit, spice and guarrigue. Medium weight on the palate, with a bit of licorice. Medium+ finish. I have to agree with everyone, seems a little tired.

Quite interesting to have it side by side with the Charmes. They could not be more different. Ruby-garnet color. Very fruit forward with sweet red fruit, herbs and spice. Plush and inviting on the palate, with the fruit dominating all the way through the long finish. Very hedonistic.

Quite a bit of reduction on the nose. This needed to aerate a bit to open up. Nose of ripe lemon and ripe stone fruit. Pretty fruit on the palate, backed by crushed rocks salinity. Good acid and long finish.

Clear light lemon color. Whiff of reduction on the nose, but with air reveal aromas of ripe lemon, yellow apple, hints of stone fruits. The palate is opulent, with the expansive fruit, balanced by a searing mineral structure. This wine shows layers upon layers of complexity. Long finish. Excellent.

Light yellow. This is quite restrained initially and needed a bit of air to show itself. The nose shows lemon, white flowers and crushed rocks. The palate is tart and tense, with medium density, and great complexity. Long finish. This is quintessential withe burgundy, classy and refined. Delicious.

Tiny bubbles. Youthful nose of citrus fruit, yellow and green apple. Tense and extremely mineral on the palate, with lemon, crips yellow and green apple, and barely a hint of secondary notes. Beautiful, balanced and complex. Finish goes on forever. Excellent wine. This confirm my experience that 2004 was a wine lover's vintage.

Dark and brooding, the nose displays a deep core of dried fruits and spice. Dense and intense on the palate, with game, iron and dried red fruits, backed by a tannic backbone. Very complex and structured. Long persistence in the mouth. This still needs time.

Still fairly tight. Red fruit, red flowers, musk and spice blend together on the nose. The palate has medium tannins, soil, red fruit, spice and a gamy character. Medium tannins, mostly integrated. Long finish. This is a burly wine.

The nose is very fresh, with lime, green apple and hints of oak. Tense and coiled on the palate, it builds on layers of fruit and minerals, wrapped in a rich and spicy shell, with excellent balance and structure. Great definition of flavors on the palate, which lasts through the extensive finish. A fantastic example of what the 2011 vintage can offer in white Burgundies. What a treat.

This is not revealing much initially on the nose, displaying only citrus and herbal aromas. This is tense and coiled on the palate, extremely mineral and refreshing, with a bit of reduction. The structure is flawless, building on layers of stone, mineral and citrus, only to reveal hints of tropical fruit after some time in the glass. This is a wine built to age, and nowhere near its peak. Long finish. Excellent.

Deep lemon color. Great purity of fruit on the nose, with ripe lemon, stone fruit and pear. The intensity of the nose manifests also on the palate, with the addition of a strong mineral core and acidity. Great definition in the mouth, precise and full, ending in a very long finish.

Nose initially quite restrained, and needed a little bit of time in the glass, before revealing ripe tropical fruit, flowers, lemon and crushed rocks. Fleshy on the palate, but is kept in balance by the acidity. This wine is more straightforward than what I'm used to for a Raveneau, but delicious nonetheless. Long finish.

This bottle felt slightly more advanced than the others I enjoyed over the past few years. Light gold color. Initially the nose displayed ripe aromas of lemon and slight stone fruit. Very mineral on the palate, with chalk and wet rocks. Long finish. I think my timing was great with this one. Drink.

Deep lemon color. Nose is very mineral, with lemon and crushed rocks. The palate shows more weight, with stone fruits and yellow apple. Medium+ to long finish. This is good but I prefer the minerality of their Montée the Tonnerre.

Golden yellow. Nose feels quite advanced. Lemon tart, toast, yellow apple and slight stone fruit on the nose. Good acidity on the palate, long finish. Not sure if the bottle was just off, or if it was just falling apart. Will try another one soon and report back, although given the fact that I had the same experience than the previous reviewer, I'm not optimistic. Drink up.

High-end Rhone Dinner at a friend's house. (Hollywood): This was quite interesting to have it side by side with the 91 La Turque. Great ruby-garnet color. The nose is much more forward than the La Turque, with red and black fruit, pepper, mint, anise and rosemary. The palate is hedonistic, with fantastic balance and power. Finish goes on forever. This will age gracefully. Excellent.

Zesty and mineral on the palate, with a refreshing long finish. Beautiful wine from an under appreciated appellation.

Garnet with medium bricking at the rim. Needs a little air to show itself. Sweet red berries, asian spice and underbrush on the nose. On the palate, it is initially a bit astringent, but with air reveals a deep core of red fruit and Vosne spice. Long finish. A little simple and linear, and this should be drunk now.

Dark and opaque garnet color. Aromas of lead pencil, sage, dried herbs, black fruits and black pepper. Same on the palate, full body and integrated tannins. Long finish. I need to revisit the 2001s more, as I think they suffered from the comparison to the 2000s and they are quite delicious now.

Vogüe performed so well in 2007 across all their portfolio. Dark ruby color. Nose explodes with wild red berries, rose petals and wildflowers. The body is soft and inviting, with red berries and spice, and no sharp edges. Long finish. This is a fabulous showing for this wine. Delicious.

This needed decanting. Deep garnet color, with just slight bricking at the rim. Nose is a bit rustic initially, with sous-bois, dried tart red cherries and spice. The palate is quite spicy, and shows mostly red fruits, with the rustic notes mostly on the nose. Long finish. I think it needs a bit more age.

Deep lemon color. The nose is opulent, spicy and floral with ripe lemon zest, crisp yellow apple and a touch of oak. This is not as revealing on the palate, as it showed much more closed. Lemon and minerals dominated, with great acidity and extremely long persistence. This is very young still and has years to go.

Deep gold. Nose took a little bit of air to reveal apple, lemon zest, brioche, hazelnuts and a little bit of toasty aromas. Creamy yet crisp on the palate, with great acidity and balance. Long finish.
