Very tight and a bit astringent on open. After an hour of double decant started to loosen and gain fruit notes and (weirdly) seemed to deepen in color. Classic palate with earth notes. Pleasant nose, not outstanding. Great with a provencal daube.

Great bottle, drinking very well. Tight at open and for the first 30 minutes in the decanter. Opened up beautifully with time and after double decanting back to the bottle. Deep red, Great nose with secondary notes of earth and herb layered on top of the still noticeable primary fruit. Great plate, good length. Wonderful.

This remains a great wine from my passive cellar, wine purchased on release. Excellent nose, but what stands out is the palate, the mouthfeel and the finish. Great notes of leather and earth. Very pretty red fruit. Light and savory. And still youthful so probably could improve, but one of the best of not the best wine I have had in this (still young) year.

Starts to sing when paired with strong flavored food. The fruit opens up and the full palate and earth/savory notes complement the food. Tight after a two hour decant, opened up with time and was much more open on day two. Light red in color, does not drink like a light wine at all, very substantive. Nice nose with some red fruits and flowers. Noticable tannins that will need time to resolve. Palate was lovely. Worked best with food on days 1 and 2, needs a few years and has significant upside.

Continues to be very tight at open. After a double decant starts to open up after an hour and continued to open up until it was gone 2 hours in. It did not last because it became a great companion to a roast chicken meal, lovely fruit, nice nose, savory palate, flower notes and some earth. This has years left, as others have said give it a lot of air and it is excellent now.

Opened by mistake, said some bad words when I realized I had opened a two year old bottle of Cornas. But goodness, this was in a very pleasant place for drinking. Very primary, as expected, but lovely deep fruit and surprisingly good balance. Guessing this will close down, looking forward to what it will be in a decade, score is for drinking today.
