Bright nose opened to the almost tart strawberry and raspberry. Mid-palate was continues the somewhat tart experience with tannins rounding out the just balanced finish. Perhaps should have opened last year? Decanted an hour and enjoyed with homemade pizza. Would drink another if it were on sale...

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Soft tannins and the fair finish made it worth the extra year or so. No fruit bomb here but we liked this napa zin.

Boom goes the fruit bomb (and alcohol) but this was still an enjoyable experience just like it was at the winery. Fun to share alongside a more traditional zin with friends as comparison. Will try to keep a bottle around in case someone is in the mood for sticky-sweet.

Website states "it finishes with a satisfying hint of toasty vanilla oak.". Should replace "satisfying hint" with "massive suggestion" and "oak" with "smoke." Much improved with an hour decanted. Can't wait to try this again in a year or so.
