Great, nice bouquet red fruits, creamy mouth filling, comforting on the palate. Progressing into a smokey finish not unpleasant but distinctive

At first very effervescent, but settles to an incredibly fine mouse. Yeasty but delicate nose. On the palate quite dry almost austere, wonderful lemon and citrus notes, pure and clean but not awfully long. Good stuff and not above the ordinary

Wonderful nose. One of the nicest white bordeaux I heave smelt. Enchanting pinapple, and tropical fruits. Palate is great too but does just quite live up to the promise of the nose. Really fulfilling and long too.

Lovely aroma of tropical fruits. On the palate zesty. Seems to have a pronounced Sauvignon blanc "twang" in a nicish way. Would definitely serve with food next time, fish with a nice creamy sauce would complement nicely

Pleasant nose. Creamy mouth feel, nice, but not yet integrated you can taste fruit, alcohol and strangely water? Tannins do not standout, hopefully they will laste until the balance is achieved

Frankly disappointing. A flawed bottle perhaps, but I suspect not. Interesting nose but the palate is a little too funky. Fruit mixed with a harsh taste I can only describe as tar

Refreshing nose pineapple and tropical fruit. Refreshing on the palate makes a great aperitif with great acidity. Something too simple though to be considered a great champagne... I guess that's why champagne is normally a blend of the three grapes rather than just pinot. But good stuff

Licorice, raisins and dried fruit on the nose. Good fruit flavours, spicy, slightly hot on the palate but not unpleasantly so. Tannins slightly drying after an hour or so, will wait before opening the next one

Nectarine and citrus nose. Nicely balance with crisp acidity on the finish. Not overly buttery or flabby. Encouraged me to rediscover Australian Chardonnay!

Decanted for an hour, initially not much of a nose but opened up. Subtle fruit with cigar box and a sort of mild struck match. On the palate some fruit and a creamy mouth filling finish. Satisfying.... Really satisfying

Golden colour. Powerful hermitage nose, yeast some fruit opened up after a few minutes. Not corked but slightly stale? or even plastic. On the palate a little hotness, rich. Finishes fairly quickly. Overall pleasant but a little unrewarding.

Gorgeous deep rich purple, almost a pomerol. On the nose oaky but not unpleasantly so. Characterisic blackcurrant, petrol (a little hotness perhaps) but also a hint of nut.. Is it walnut. Rich creamy palate, tannins are smooth. I was apprehensive having read Jancis Robinsons review but I really enjoyed this, yes it is sweet and Oaked but that's part it's make up... Tarted up finish... No really for me.

Yeasty toasty notes on the nose, appetising and typical dom perignon. On the palate nice enough but somehow a little something is missing both in length and in flavour complexity. Maybe will improve with a little bottle age but for me the 2002 is a whole different level.

Purple in colour, the nose is hot with distinctive earthy/ farmyard notes overpowering anything delicate that might otherwise have shown. On the palate again one is hit by the heat from the alcohol. Overall it has yet to come together, i hope that it will - i have another 11 bottles! But fear it may not improve from here

Buttery and rich on the nose. On the palate was initially tough and we feared well past its best. It improved over the course of the following hour, but cant help feeling it would have been so much nicer several years ago.

On the nose this is a little harsh, note of gooseberry and the usual citrus but not that appealing. On the plate a it continued to under perform. Harsh acidity and not up to the usual cloudy bay standards.
