Just great.
Outstanding Bdx-blend SuperTuscan. Deep, complex, juicy and rich. Lovely now with a decant, probably even better in a few years' time. Might be underrating this one.

Still an infant.
Very saline, mineral and an interesting streak of juicy bitterness in the atertaste (if that makes any sense..).

OMG...!
Bottle was opened several hours before tasting.
The wine is already so unbelievably tasty and juicy and creamy and harmoniuos... Breathtaking.
Destined for a perfect score in a few years' time.

Opened and decanted an hour before tasting. Cedar, toasty oak, brown spices, damp earth, pinches of milkchocolate, coffee and pruney fruit. Still fairly tannic too. Does this wine have sufficient fruit and freshness for the long haul...?
Now, this is good, not great.

Bright golden yellow.
Salty smoky minerals, caramelized citrus, dry honey, old foudres, wet wool and an attractive mossy, rainwater vibe that I like very much.
Although this regular auslese trocken does not have the depth and complexity of the Reserve bottlings, it showes the trademark KR funk in spades.
Recommended!

Great wine, from a half bottle.
Lots of complexity and depth of flavor. Honey, white chocolate and caramel. Nectarine, pear and bloodorange. Almonds, oats and buttery cookiedough.
Exquisite balance, luscious sweetness, fresh acidity and spicy bitterness.
Deeeelicious now!

Deep, dark colour, brownish rim.
Notes of black cherry, smoked ham, summer asphalt, cedar and potpourri.
Still holding up, but it's definately time to drink these.

Honeyed and floral. Vanilla, saffron, mango and papaya on the palate. Still fairly fresh and mineral.

Wow..! Is this impressive or what?
Very salty and mineral, beautiful acidity and citrus bitterness throughout the entire wine. Gorgeous veins of RS provides charm, depth, richness and impeccable balance.
This mouthwatering feinherb has just entered its drinking window, yet has the structure for another decade or two of positive evolution. Guter Stoff!

Waxy, nutty and floral. Clearly mature, yet there are still some deep yellow fruit notes (dreid apricot, papaya, baked apple) left.
Also hints of vanilla, honeycomb and pumpkin-spice latte.
Really nice.

Meaty, toasty, leather and coffee. Quite masculine and slightly stubborn. Still, there's black fruit and a certain freshness that keeps me coming back for more.
Lovely.

What a fantastic wine this is. A real bargain, too.
Rich and dry, piles of beautiful minerals, gorgeous oily bittersweet fruitnotes of orangepeel, lemoncurd and peachskin. Pinches of gasoline, paraffine and honeycomb join the party as well.
Standing tall at the age of 14!

Ruby to purple in the glass. Medium- to full-bodied, classically styled, primary crunchy cherry and blackberryfruit, this has a cool-climate feel with its bright and fresh aromatics, mouthwatering acidity and floral/spicy nuances to boot. Lovely!

Better balance and more suppleness on day 2.

Had several bottles of this wine in the past 5 years.
And this one is easily the best.
Gorgeously rich and pure on the nose: black cherries, blueberry pancakes, blackberry preserve.
This all echoes on the palate and some well dosed pinches of caramel, cocoa, coffee and toast take the wine to another level. Just enough acidity to give it some fraicheur: soft and ripe tannines backing up the long and incessant finish.
Totally beautiful.

Lovely. Crystalline and quite delicate.
Nose is a little shy and bland.
With the marvelous 2008 in mind, I had slightly higher expectations.

Palate kinda muted, clipped finish.

Bery nice, yet still somewhat tannic and sturdy.
Last april we savored a bottle of this wine during a memorable tasting in a certain Léognan kitchen and I remember that bottle as more generous, hedonistic and polished.

Finally, this wine got into the zone.
The savory austerity and rugged masculinity melted into the wine to reveal a lovely balanced (and maybe even elegant) beauty.

Excellent balance, very easy to like. Not overly complex nor deep, yet highly enjoyable!

Quite stubborn after pop-n-pour.
Black olive, ink and coffee grounds.
Check tomorrow whether balance is restored.

After 3 days, black fruit emerged, and balance was restored indeed. Up a notch.
