We love this wine; its a marvelous value even at the price, since there are Cote Rotie available at far more ( altho we love the La Las and accept their cost) Anyhow, this is drinking beautifully, give it a decade or more, dark fruit, slight sweet note, maybe some vanilla. If you haven’t had, do so soon.

A beautiful wine, at perhaps its peak or plateau. I think it has time, but it is surely ready. Lengthy even evolving finish, lovely burg perfume, silky smooth.

After a 4 hour decant, enjoyed with our home crafted baby backs and rack of lamb. Were the baby backs too spicey? The wine was very good, but I guess our expectations exceeded. Not sure time is the solution here.

Had this at the Mark restaurant at the hotel by same name, BTW, a disappointing quality drop from last time a year ago. I’d wonder if that influenced our opinion, but the Barolo we had after drank well. No, having come to love Pichon since 1982, this one disappointed at this date. It had a chance to breathe, but that didn’t get it past the too young stage. This will likely please me, but not for another 2 or 3 years, perhaps even 3 or 4. Never a reason to rush Bordeaux, and a mature Bordeaux is such a treat, so I would drink something older and let this one lie for a while

Beautiful wine, drinking well right now, with perhaps a decade to go

Bryant has never disappointed since my first bottles back I think in 1994. Finesse, length, wonderful balance of fruit and tannins, a lengthy finish, everything a California cab should be with no hint of fruit bomb or jamb. A Napa first growth for sure

One of those barolos that evokes to some degree a burgundy, light, pure, at a very good place right now, prob should drink up in a year or two at most

Are riojas the most reliable crowd and wine lover pleasers? Seems hard to go wrong. They last, de Heredia can get them from your birth year.

Over the hill. Usually a favorite, but this one was funky, off, maybe Brett? no old ones left, usually drink this up inside 12 or so years

Early in its life but open for business, beautiful wine, great feel on palate, great length. Enjoyed after a 95 Pichon Lalande sort of fell flat for us at La Sirena, Palm Beach’s best Italian restaurant for decades.

Beautifully evolved, but as I have thought with other 95’s, not quite what I would have hoped, having enjoyed other PB more at this age. A lot of promise, just seems to fall short of the possibilities

On initial PNP we both really liked it, but after about a half hour things changed, Oddly the tannins asserted themselves more, and the fruit lost its mouth loving warmth and roundness, Will open again the rest of bottle tonight and see what we think Drink up, fast!

Drinking as well I think, as it will. We really like the PM portfolio, have thoroughly enjoyed our visits there, love the chardonnays and L Apres midi. Very much like the Les Pavots and it lasts and improves, although sometimes when it gets too far along into secondaries the balance seems to be left behind, So I think for the 2006, now s a good time

Superb as always, but give it more time. I grabbed a dozen bottles for TG, should have been more careful about vintage, rushing, put in fridge to cool, and only noted the year when I went to open. Not a disaster if you have more, it’s a great wine, better night two, but if you can wait do so. An admission. I don’t have much non Burgundy white, and virtually every bottle I have came from and has come from Peter Michael for decades. I love Les Pavots altho the price is getting a bit ambitious, but the secret of getting on the allocation list is the access to the wonderful array of single vineyard chardonnays and of course L Apres Midi, for me the best Sauvignon blanc from California.

Amazingly too young, or needed a longer decant. This can be even better with more time. A quintessential super level Napa cab, from a beautiful home north in the valley. Everything there you could hope for, and it should get better and better for many years

Still young but drinking very well. Had with sons at Pinehurst after getting a 2 on 2. A pretty good day all in all. A very good northern Rhône, Guigal almost always excellent. A decade or more to go.

Very nice example of Les Pavots. Am I always swayed a bit by the multiple and memorable visits to the vineyard? If so so what. Always a dependably excellent wine, given the time. This is ready but I think has 10 plus years to change and show multiple different ways to be excellent

Drinking very well now, evolving, charming, Some of the 05s for me are not at all ready and worry me, because I don’t find what I hope for as a good sign for the future- but I accept I may be dumber than the Wines. This however is open for business,

At a very good place right now, will go a long time more. Not sure if Napa cab gets any better, but that’s a nod to my liking old world cabs a lot as well. If you like jam and in your face this is not for you, if you love a wine that evolves and gives pause to sip slowly, this vineyard always comes across.

At Torrey Pines before golf on Saturday A bit surprised at the persistence of the tannins, after this many years expected more evolution. Have been a fan for years, liked it, but have liked other vintages more. Not sure time will fix

Drinking beautifully now, a very good Napa Cab. Not unique, but well crafted and at a good place. While it may evolve more, its pretty much where we like this strata of Napa cab

Have loved Betty's wines since introduced by Kaj from WHWC long ago. A classic Napa cab, big, lots of fruit, slightly sweet, vanilla tucked in there with all the rest. can go a long time, please decant for a while

discovered I had kept an entire case, decided its time to drink the expensive and good, so opened this for a friend, and then a week later at family. Sometimes I have not thought this deserved the hype, but it surely does with this vintage which should only do better in the future. A mouthful, balanced, extensive library of flavors, lengthy finish. One of the best from Napa I have had

Love with he does with Amarone, but amazing what he does with Cab. So happy so many growers in Italy have worked with Bordeaux varietals, they grow and vinify so wonderfully and uniquely. Try this wine, expensive as it is.

I think this needs to be drunk up. The richness of the fruit usually such a contributor to Les Pavots is fading, the finish somewhat detracted.

Still younger than not, gave it a few hours in the glass, matched up beautifully to a beautiful NY strip.I agree with the comment below that this speaks to its roots, Tuscany grows merlot and cab in its way, thankfully, uniquely. Neither Bordeaux nor Napa can make this wine.

What’s better than a bottle you more or less ignored, because you had others you thought should be drunk next? This is in a perfect place, secondaries fully present, garnering “wow” from my wife and friends who were lucky enough to share with me. I cannot see it getting better. Quintessential pauillac
