with Flannery strip. Slow ox 4 hours prior. Don’t know where this is going, bought not as good as 1st bottle. Not deep and not much mid palate. Short green finish. 2 days later and no improvement. Day 5 and tannic, dry and no fruit. Still a good wine but not a 150 bottle. 90

7/20/22, 6:59 AM - Interestingly, while I just posted the note, it was from July 2021 when I opened the 2012. Definitely seems to be some bottle variation since the first bottle I had in 2016 was great! Will keep an eye on video updates to see when is best to open the last 2012 I have.

Can only echo notes of others recent notes. Purchased from Flikinger in 2016. Haven’t had a Musar in 15+ years but I won’t wait that long again. This was masterful, exotic, elegant, refined, easy to drink. Went great with takeout from Zahav (Philadelphia) due to Covid. 94

6/29/20, 6:52 AM - CMN: Zahav is awesome! Been there once years ago and could never get back (reservation tough). Due to Covid, they are offering takeout which is deal of lifetime. SO much food for $100 - I feel like a thief. I make Solomonov hummas many times but it is nothing like from Zahav. It is like hummus mousse. Pomegranate Lamb dish is unreal.

This (bottle) is fantastic Spatlese and went perfectly with Green Curry Chicken. Pale yellow in color and still quite primary and complex with pear, white peach and stoney notes. Impeccable balance which made the wine rather light (yet still complex). Typically I find many recent Spatlese to be too heavy to drink frequently (and have a hard time finishing a full bottle), but this is what I want in Spatlese and could drink this any time (and no problem finishing the bottle!). I can only presume some recent bottles by others were more advanced than this bottle considering the golden color and golden fruit notes others mentioned. No petrol or overripe (jammy) notes, light sweetness but absolute balance.
