Pale lemon yellow. Clean, but somewhat restrained nose with aromas of fresh yellow fruits, some appley tones, a little bit of hay, light leesy nuances, hints of wool and sawdusty untoasted oak and a touch of creaminess. The wine feels fresh, firm and lively on the palate with a medium body and somewhat neutral flavors of ripe red apples, some fresh white peach, light saline mineral tones, a little bit of hay and a leesy hint of creaminess. Brisk, structured acidity. The finish is crisp, dry and lively with a zippy aftertaste of lemony citrus fruits and saline minerality, some sharp Granny Smith apple tones, a little bit of hay, light leesy tones, a floral hint of apple blossom and a touch of wool.
A fresh, sophisticated and enjoyably lively little white. Not particularly big on character and it's difficult to assess whether the wine will improve much with age, but at least it was a terrific food wine and a lovely palate-cleanser. Good stuff - although I felt the wine was wanting a bit in depth and character. Priced somewhat according to its quality at 48,50€ for a bottle in a restaurant.
