No detailed notes/score. Bold, young wine with a barely effervescent quality that indicated it needs more time in the bottle... but it's really good.

Solid, entry level Chablis. Starts a bit thin with unintegrated tartness, but opens up nicely with air. Green apple, grapefruit, and a touch a salinity. Linear but with enough depth to be very quaffable.

A pretty classic Beaucastel from this era. a bit more red fruits and less wild than some vintages. It’s good but to my taste a little one dimensional. Nice with roast lamb.

Owned by Lur-Saluces family since 1472, also owners of Chateau d’Yquem untill 1999, some critics calls de Fargues as d’Yquem junior. Made from a blend of 80% Semillon and 20% SB. Fermented and aged for 3 years in one year old barriques that were previously used for d’Yquem. Intense aroma of dried peaches, wax, dried yellow apples, apricot marmalade, spices, medical bandage hints. Full body, viscous and creamy yet not cloying and elegant with dried and jammy stone and yellow fruits, medium+ citrusy crisp acidity.

This powerful BdM must be in some sort of sleeping state at this moment, or my palate was just exhausted from many wines prior this one. Produced only in top vintages from a single vineyard. Fermented in steel and concrete, aged for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels and 8 months in bottle. Medium garnet colour. Medium+ intensity aroma of cherries, tobacco, leather, earth, vanilla, roses. Medium+ body, powerful and concentrated, spicy and bit too much warming sensation, great complexity, medium+ fine tannins.

Piercing aromas and flavors that are hard to define in terms of fruit, but those yellow/orange ground cherries come to mind. I got black licorice and a slight yeasty-ness too on the nose. It’s balanced and focused and well articulated, and reminded me of the best muscadets.

A joint venture of Spanish wine visionary J. Galarreta and arguably the most influential enologist & consultant for finest projects across the globe M. Rolland. Made from a blend of 62% Carignan & 38% Garnacha, aged in new FR oak barrels for 15 months. Medium+ intensity aroma of boiled cherries, liquorice, blackberries, leather, chocolate. Full body, powerful, youthful and feels like scattered elements which have not yet come together. Spicy, warm & smooth with juicy fruits, medium acidity, medium- tannins.

Powerful Pinotage with pronounced new oak flavours, broad structure and shadowy acidity and tannic structure. Grapes harvested at night, aged for 22 months in 60% FR and 40% US oak barrels, 40% new. Deep ruby colour. Intense smoky blackcurrants, leather, plums, sulphur, earth, herbs, hints of coconut. Full body, concentrated and rich with quite tense and chewy structure, new oak with ripe black fruit flavours, chalky medium extra fine tannins, spiced medium+ length finish.

So far the finest and most matured Aglianico I was fortunate to taste. Made from a single vineyard, aged for 18 months in FR barriques and large barrels. Deep ruby colour. Intense aroma of plums, spices, spices, strawberries, liquorice, chocolate, herbal notes. Full body, concentrated and rich with dense silky texture, ripe and dried red fruit flavours along coconut new spiced oak, medium acidity and ripe mouth coating medium+ tannins. This seems like made for eternal consumption, colour, aroma and taste suggest for many years of singing ahead.

bottle aging has helped. Still lots of fruit, but depth and balance are improved. Likely at peak and should last for 2-3 years at minimum

Made from single varietal of one of the oldest Baga vineyards planted before 1939, aged for 18 months in 100 year old Portuguese oak barrels. Deep ruby colour. Intense generous aroma of smoke, toast, spices, blackberries, smoky plums, vanilla, leather, meaty touch. Full body, crazy ballistic and bit over the top concentration, yet feels quite restrained and not jammy with medium+ density lush black fruit flavours, spicy edges, leathery and earthy hints, medium acidity and finely grained medium tannins.

A long awaited acquaintance with this cult & one of the finest domaines in St. Joseph. Traditional and old school biodynamic winery, punch-downs still done by feet, no chemicals used, aged in large oak foudres for 12 months, minimal sulfites added, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Intense aroma of smoke, cured meat, blackcurrants, strawberries, earth, olives, hints of violets. Medium+ body, great concentration, exemplary deep structure, smoky & meaty fruits, chalky medium+ tannins, long smoky and floral finish.

Incredible marvel made from a blend of Syrah and PV, grown in Negev desert and contains 12.2% abv, just envious craftsmanship. Medium ruby colour. Intense aroma of strawberries, cherries, sweet tobacco, leather, graphite. Medium body, lean and elegant yet showing great concentration and balance. Feels more matured than actually is with smoky and earthy red fruit flavours, herbal nuances, concludes with focused and well integrated vibrant high acidity and medium velvety tannins.

100% Grenache.

Muted earthy nose
minimal acidity or tannins -- beside the buckets of red fruit and raspberries it felt a little unmoored. Drank beside the 06 which had more structure and felt better balanced

Puckery, with notes of lemon and Granny Smith apple initially leading the way. Rounds up a bit, with an emerging richness and hints of minerality. Well made, if not a tad simple.

The story here is about a Piemonte based grape resurrection, from virtual extinction!

This evolved nicely over five days. After being slightly disappointing, primarily fruity with a rather annoying (new) oaky finish right after opening, everything came together beautifully on day two. A (very slightly) flinty nose appeared and the oak became nicely integrated on the palate, adding a little more depth. A really pleasant wine that goes well with light, summery dishes. Not sure if it's worth its price.

2015 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Premier Cru “La Forest” I remember how many people turned their noses up at the white Burgundies when they were released - especially preceding the grand 2014. These wines were flabby and lacked age worthiness. I am thrilled every time I taste a 2015 and many of the wines are firming up and good producers made stunning wines. This is indeed the case for Vincent Dauvissat. The colour is pale gold with a hint of green. The nose explodes with crushed oyster shells, sea spray , lemon curd, white flowers, cold butter, fresh almonds and lime. On the palate the wine is both creamy and graceful more lemon curd and fine butter. This wine has only just begun it’s second life stage and will just get better and better with more age 😎✌🏻

Wish it had a bit more acidity and backbone. A little boring for Riesling. No white flower

Tried this years ago after I saw that it won a blind tasting of over twenty 2015 Vosne village wines that was held by some tasters I respect. After I tried a bottle, I went back and bought a six pack. My last bottle (of 2015) now, but these have been so good. Has a light-ish, somewhat translucent color. Red fruit with spice. Really classic Vosne nose and palate, but all on a frame that is relatively elegant, especially for a 2015. Silky texture and has power without weight. Great wine, with plenty of life ahead.
