September 22, 2007 - This was great a year and a half ago. And still is. I tried many 04 SB's which have faded, but this one had not lost anything in 2 years. Did a Vertical of the 04-06, and this won. Best fruit concentration, most viscous of the 3 as well. A wonderful bouquet of citrus, peaches, fig, lemon-grass, and floral notes. Full-bodied and viscous and rich fruit on the palate consisting of citrus, goosenberry, passion fruit, lemongrass, melon and hints of papaya and herb. Well-balanced, elegant and has some finesse to it, with a very long clean finish. Perfect amount of acidity and ripeness of fruit. The only category the 06 wins over the 04 is the 06 to me has a tiny bit more complexity to it with more noticable herb and earth/stone tones.
