5/2/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that I much preferred on day 1 vs day 2. Bright purity, warm stones, savory and pomegranate with raspberry, soil and fine, mostly integrated tannin. Medium-bodied, with good energy/lift and avg complexity and length. 1900 bottles produced; 12,7% abv. A pleasure with a meal. recommended. Drink now for the freshness though it'll hold a few more years if that's your jam. |

4/30/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP. Very good, if not quite yet in its preferred window. Stony minerality, fresh with good+ energy and focus. Crisp and offers the lightest touch of savory, some sage, etc. Probably better in 18-36 months though sadly my last one. Bravo, Francesco! 13,5% abv. Easily recommended |

2016 Château Feuillet Cornalin Valle d'Aostamore |
4/30/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that's consistent with prior bottles; still offering good freshness. Secondary development dominates, with some primary freshness. Blackberries, ten different kinds of dark soil (a wine of place), with fine balance and good+ complexity and persistence; a cool medium body with fine tannins. A textbook performance. 13,0% abv. Several more solid years yet ahead, though I don't really see any reason to wait. Easily recommended 3 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (3) |

2015 Máté - Podere il Falconaio Merlot Mantus Toscana IGTmore |
4/30/2024 - Tim Heaton wrote: flawedPnP. Light TCA as has happened during the case I bought on release. Too bad, too, as the fruit seems rather fresh and robust (nose). Seems like a fit bottle could easily go another 5+ years at a high level. Last bottle of a case, fwiw. |

4/30/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP, light>med straw color. Fresh aromas of stone and orchard fruit, very slight tropical component. Medium-bodied, cool acidity, with good cut and lift. Quite a nicely composed wine and one I'd gladly revisit; as expected from this producer. 12,3% abv., drink now or in the next few years for peak performance. Easily recommended |

4/28/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP, brilliant! complex, fresh, loads of freshness/energy, soul! thru 2029. Happy to have two more. 14,5% abv. highly recommended |

2013 Az. Agr. Biologica L'Officina della Terra Valtellina Superiore Anfora SO1Chiavennasca, Nebbiolo more |
4/28/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that drank wonderfully across two days. Seems fully developed and in a still-fresh secondary stage. Med>Med+ body, lithe, elegant and well-focused with a sense of place and grape that resonates beauty. This variety and a 1,0L are something of an oddity for me, but the class and purity on display here are not. I've just one more left that I've held since release; the previous two have been similar joys, with the fine tannin already well integrated. Likely to drink at a high level for several more years though based on this showing, no real need to wait. Gladly recommended |

4/28/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRThis was a sample bottle that Mina had given me during a visit to their farm/cellar. This wasn't in CT, but when doing a six+ day full cellar audit, I found it and I'm glad I did. This is aged wonderfully: med>full body, fresh, with good weight, secondary development and flavors that are at/near peak. This has another 3-5 years at this level before its decline sets in. I miss this place, Natalino and Mina. The entire story is beautiful. The 15,0% abv is integrated to the point the wine never once seemed hot. Gladly recommended |

2015 Ca' Lojera Lugana Del Lupo RiservaTurbiana, Verdicchio more |
4/16/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that was very good on open and even better at 60 minutes open. Medium straw color, not so clear. Initial aromas of peach, apple, mace and marine influence. Medium body, good+ complexity and length. This is a magnet drawn to bold flavors; the garlic and tuna in my pasta/cream sauce dish was lit. Easily recommended+, thru 2028. |

4/14/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that really began to perform at a high level after 90 minutes open. Really everything one could ask for; got lucky. Could well last another decade at a high level though I see no reason to wait. |

4/14/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP. My final one and again it's a fantastic showing. Medium-bodied, little/no sign of age to the color. Fresh, complex, mature though in no way even near on the back side. Superb. Well-cellared bottles may show at a high level for another 5+ yrs yet. highly recommended |

4/14/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP held since release. Still showing very well. Med/med+ body, textbook aromas and flavors. Elegant, complex, lovely. A joy. Thru 2028 if this one is representative (before it begins its decline). |

2014 Instituto Minutoli Sez Agriaria Faro Cuppari San PlacidoRed Blend more |
4/14/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP that's drinkable but clearly past its prime; acids slightly overwhelm what red fruit remains. Not terrible, but certainly would have shown better 3-4 yrs ago. |

2010 Domaine Bernard Baudry Chinon Les GrézeauxCabernet Franc more |
4/14/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP. Very good showing, fully mature though still very much in its preferred window. Little to no sign of age on the medium ruby core. Soil, plum, the occasional barn note, some sage and forest, etc. Lovely medium/med+ body with exceptional balance and good+ persistence. A joy. Hard to believe I paid just $22 on release; way over-delivered that on that. Easily highly recommended 5 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (4) |

2018 Tenuta Selvadolce Terrazze dell'Imperiese Frizzante TurbolentoPigato, Vermentino more |
4/14/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRCrown cap. Pigato. Medium straw color, bright and clear. Semi-fine bubbles with good+ persistence. Initial aromas/flavors for the first few minutes are seaspray, orchard fruit, a thread of balsamic, some apple cider vinegar/malt. With just a few minutes of air this is well composed and some weight and persistence is added to the fold. Played very well with sushi; can easily recommend now and thru 2028. 13,0% abv. |

4/1/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP. Color and fill good+. The nose is amazing, the palate follows firmly in this manner. Good freshness, med/med+ body, very elegant, mostly tertiary (but in a fresh not 'old' way) with olive, cured meat, red/purple flowers, soil, etc. Each glass as if not slightly more impressive than the one before it. A treasure shared with vg friends during some difficult moments. Chapeau, Fred! If you're lucky enough to open one of these that's been well cared for, I hope you find your experience the same as mine highly recommended, thru 2029. |

2019 Château Pradeaux Bandol RoséMourvèdre Blend, Mourvèdre more |
4/9/2024 - Tim Heaton wrote: NRStored since release. PnP allowed to slow-ox one hr. The color of muddled strawberry juice with a band of copper/iron at the rim. No real nose/aromas to speak of and the palate was similarly mute; acidity overwhelmed what's left at this point. Perhaps it was better 2-4 yrs go? |

2017 Tenuta Roveglia Lugana Vigne di Catullo RiservaTurbiana, Verdicchio more |
3/4/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP. Holding on nicely, mature with good freshness though I'd not wait too many more years as the freshness really helps to delineate the layers of white fruits and various herb and forest notes. Lingers nicely. Drink now. recommended |

2019 Fattoria Petrolo TorrioneVal d'Arno di Sopra Sangiovese Blend, Sangiovese more |
3/4/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRAerated to wide bottom decanter for three hours. A wine of good structure, with a fairly restrained style. Ripe and tasty, this is likely a couple of years away from falling squarely into my wheelhouse. Dark red fruits, dry, medium>med+ body, balanced, developing. In its current form, it's easily recommended |

2004 Cupano Brunello di MontalcinoSangiovese more |
3/4/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRSlow ox three hours, was just right. Magnificent drop, with grace, class, elegance, etc. Deep and broad, med+ body with such a fine balance of red fruit that teeter near the dark red spectrum but always seem to retreat just in time to keep focus. Brilliant stuff. I'll plan to drink the remaining bottles in the next 5-6 years even if it'll live on past that. highly recommended |

2016 Kumeu River Chardonnay Hunting Hillmore |
3/4/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRThe last of four bottles purchased on release and the best one yet. Good freshness, med+ body, complex, long and elegant. Thanks to enough freshness, this really danced on the palate. A joy, with or without food. 14,0% abv. Should continue to drink at a high level for several more years. highly recommended |

3/4/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRAudozed two hours, served non-blind. Sadly the last one was tappo, this is just the opposite, with a lovely mix of red/black fruits, good soil/mineral details, with some citric tang now and again. Medium>med+ body, fresh and elegant, with some savory notes by the third glass. Very well grown/made. Loved it. Drink now or the next 5-7 yrs at a high level. highly recommended |

3/4/2024 - Tim Heaton Likes this wine: NRPnP. Certainly on the back side of its preferred curve, but still showing enough freshness to suggest it'll hold here for another 2-4 years; this bottle, anyway. Perfect at two hours open; elegant, fully mature, nice/interesting and tasty tertiary development. Red/dark red fruits, good sense of place, grape and time. Drink now, not likely to improve. recommended |
