Brought this wine to Yunnan's (Westgate) for lunch with a very close ex-colleague. We had Braised Chicken Noodles with Dried Chilli, Stir Fried Wild Porcini Mushroom with Dried Chillies, Grilled Pork Trotters with Spices, and Sauteed Cabbage with Dried Chillies.

Ruby red in colour. Beautiful bouquet on the nose. Fragrant, with all the elements in harmony. Beautiful on the outside, but deep down lacks finesse and complexity. Does its job of matching with the food and keeping the diners engaged well.

Will store the other bottle for the next 5 years and wait to see how it evolves.

Pale gold in colour with a touch of cream. On the nose the wine is vibrant, with notes of unripe stone fruits.

Complex and finishes with a zing. Excellent QPR. Highly recommended.

Brought this wine to Cheng Hoo Thian for lunch with my elder sister. We had the Pork Trotter & Shark Meat Aspic, Oyster Omelette, Teochew Braised Duck and Yam Paste.

Gold in colour. Beautiful fragrance on the nose of white stone fruits. Reminds me of sunshine after the rain. A beautiful wine that is ideal for pairing with teochew food. Yummy!

Brought this to New Ubin Seafood (Stevens Road) for a wine dinner with a new group of wine friends.

Greenish yellow in colour. Very floral and charming on the nose. On the palate, the wine is lush with a mellow mid-palate. Some white tropical fruits and white stone fruits. Did not have the burst of flavours or intensity as expected.

Suggest to hold on to this wine for a while first before serving.

Brought this wine to HaiDiLao (Downtown East) for a family dinner with my mother-in-law.

Lush, bubbly, easy to drink. A very nice compliment to the hotpot we had. Served well chilled, the wine was more than a match for the spice and umami from the dinner.

Opened this wine at the Boathouse Lounge this afternoon to celebrate the 8th birthday of my niece.

Straw gold in colour with beautiful notes of lychee, lime and lemon on the nose and palate. Fresh, tasty, delicious. Serve well chilled.

Opened this wine at the Boathouse Lounge this afternoon to celebrate the 8th birthday of my niece.

Decanted for 2 hours before serving. Lush, with fresh notes of blackberries. A harmonious coup on the palate. Fruit takes precedence over the minerals and earthy characteristics. Not sure if that is due to the terrior, or winemaking.

Quite South American in style. Would not have been able to guess that this is a Spanish wine in a blind tasting.

Brought this wine to Tunglok Teahouse (Square 2) for a wine dinner with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: White wines from Bordeaux.

Straw yellow in colour. Beautiful concentration of flavours on the nose: aromatic white stone fruits, vanilla, and toasted nuts. On the palate the wine is clean, crisp and focused.

A very flavourful wine which is not too cloggy. Do give it a try if you come across a bottle.

Integrated oak, with youthful aromas of herbs and cherries. Elegant tannins with citrus acidity, mineral salinity. Balance of density, focus, and flavours.

Funcky red in colour. On the nose, the berries and dark cherries stood out. Smooth tannins, with spicy notes, and a long finish.

Drinking this wine gives the sensation of walking up a flight of steps.

Peckish red in colour. On the nose there are vibrant strawberries, coupled with spicy notes and seamless tannins. Complex texture, good length in finish with refreshing acidity.

On the palate it is also dull and dumb.

Dark pu-er in colour. Has a penicillin nose upon presentation. On the palate, the wine presents lush, ripen fruits, with a rounded and smooth finish. There are 3 distinctive characteristics about this wine: it has a dense body, with a burst of sweetness and ends with a saltiness.

Straw gold in colour with fleeting aromas. Dry with a sharp finish. Dried almonds were evident with a slightly salty, flinty midpalate. Ample acidity to match the alcohol.

This wine should match very well with seafood with a rich creamy sauce.

An eye opening and riveting wine.

Dark brick red in colour with a creamy, vanilla nose backed by blackcurrants. The fresh butter on the palate, coupled with oak, cherries and fresh fruits explains why this is such a highly regarded wine.

Ends off with some metallic notes, spices with clear influences from the use of US oak.
