Medium body, smooth with delayed acidity and some tannins remaining. Core aromas appear on the palate, plus some dried nuts. There’s a particular secondary note for a moment I can best describe as dried lemon peel, very distinct from other flavors and what I’ve experienced in other vintages of this wine. Long finish of crisp, dried red fruit and subtle backing spices. High alcohol (15.2%). |

Med ruby to garnet, lightening at the edge, Rustic, earthy, pepper mixed with cherry, blackberry, and dried fruit notes. Full bodied, very satisfying spread of fruit, spice, pepper, olive, tobacco, rustic wood notes on the palate. Crisp and vibrant, tannins relatively light. Very nice balance. |

Velvet smooth & elegant palate, medium bodied. Tannins have really integrated at this point. Some spices on the finish, which is med. Med- alcohol. Very nice Bordeaux though a little understated compared to some peers. I’ve found the younger d’Issans a little more compelling. |

Light tannins, leaving the wine a little less fully developed than a similarly aromatic Bordeaux. Med+ alcohol. A satisfying wine but feels like it could have achieved more. |

Blackberry, broader dried black fruits, nice freshness, pepper, anise, definitely a smoky & misty quality to the underlying aromas. Relatively short finish. |

Med+ finish. Med- alcohol. A little less of the aromatics I associate w/S-J but a very nice wine. |

Amazing how fresh and crisp it is 25 years on. |
