Nose isn't as pronounced as I'd remembered at the winery, but this is a 2006 vintage. Has thrown quite a bit of sediment, so decant or pour carefully at his point. |

Much more nuanced than the first bottle we had back around 2011. Nice earthiness. Some initial white pepper that dissipates quickly. Notes of currant & cranberry. As others have noted, drink up. Not likely to get better. |

Very aromatic, with notes of dark fruits & violets. Silky, velvety, with lush mouthfeel. Good fruits, primarily black cherry, currants, & some dark fruits. Tannins are medium & there is mild oakiness. Believe this is a perfect time for this wine, if you have some in your cellar. |

Notes of red cherry, dark berries, spice box, cedar, light oak & medium tannins. Long finish. Alcohol a touch strong at 14.5%, but really didn't detract from the experience. Drinking well now. Throwing some sediment on the downside of the bottle. |
