8/25/2023 - knlowery Likes this wine: 94 pointsWOW WOW WOW. Opened this with my wife’s homemade spaghetti. Only breathed for about 15 minutes before sitting down to dinner. It is unique and delicious. Clearly a new world ripeness but with good acidity on the finish with soft tannins. Was a delicious compliment to the spaghetti sauce. Ripe dark fruit on the front with a full mouthfeel and a nice but gentle finish and soft tannins negromara means black bitter but while very dark it is fruity and not bitter to my pallete. I love Altamura’s new world expression of the various Italian grapes they grow. Grab some bottles if you can. I have 2 more bottles of 2010 and they will last a while |

A generous fruit forward start on the pallete but the acidity supported the wine through the mid palette and allowing the finish to linger with variance flavors and silky tannins.
